Thumbs up

Nice, not a lot of work done on it but it's not too bad at all. I have a lot of respect for anyone who can make customs! I was hoping it was this one though:

I'd pick that one up in a heartbeat!

I ran into that on Ebay too...To me it just isn't Slash without the hunchback. Not a bad figure though..

I wouldn't buy that. The original slash figure was tons better than that.

Slash should be more muscular than the rest of the turtles. This custom is a little bit more than a redeco. Where'd that other custom come from (the one with the ankylosaurus shell)? It looks more like Slash, of course, it looks too much like old Slash. I can't think of too many bulky figure in the TMNT line that would work for Slash. Hun, maybe?

I don't think Hun would work, he's got the wrong shape. Way too tall and his legs are too small. If you started off with Hun as a base you'd pretty much have to change every part of him. It'd be less hassle to start from scratch or use a new line turtle. Maybe if we got some "Beefed Up" turtle variations in the future it could work, lol.

The pic of Slash came from either Tales of the TMNT #8 or #9, not sure which one. I'm so tempted to make one but I don't have the time or the cash.

Jed, not to be a prick but blatantly stealing photos and not giving credit where credit is due is kinda rude, know what I mean?

The good Slash custom can be see in Tales of TMNT issue #9.

As for making your own, I think it could be done for less than $15.

How did I "blatantly steal" the photo? I put it up so people could have a look at it, I don't know who made it and wasn't sure where it came from (I had it saved to my hard drive). When someone asked in this thread I went to the trouble of finding out where the photo originated but still didn't know who made it. If it's in a thread somewhere then I missed it, I don't have time to check every single thread on a 56K modem. Maybe you could have helped me out by posting where it came from or PMing me to edit my post rather than bashing me. If you checked the Complete New Line Checklist topic or asked tmnterminator or Jester you'd see that I'm a staunch advocator of "giving credit where credit's due".

He's not bashing you dude, but don't worry everything is cool, yes it's from tales #9 inside cover and it was done by a guy who works at playmates toys I guess.

Chances we'll see a new slash toy released to the public: 0

I saw the picture in Tales and jumped for joy, I so despratly want slash in the new show and a figure as well. Then I read what was said and my hopes were crushed. But see how many people want to see slash? One day....... That also reminds me, I wanted to see metalhead too, but look what they did with that idea, I hated the turtle bot, now there is no chance for Metalhead.

Yeah that's exactly what I thought when I saw Turtlebot as well. The same thing with Slashuur from the second video game. I figure they'll never use Slash who's an evil turtle when they have Slashuur who's pretty much a heroic Shredder.
