Question Tmnt Memories:sick Days

Do you remember ever being in a hospital that felt like months....then----getting out of that hellhole---and yer mum or pop take you to walmart/or/target/or/kmart/or/KB's to get you a TMNT toy just to make you feel a bit better?

what are your memories of that? i would love to share mine right now. so i will. AHEM-
I remember being sick as a dog! i spent in the hospital for what felt like months AGH horrible foodz horrible tv horrible bed to sleep on <0.0> and dont ask how i went to the bathroom ARGGHHH >.<!!!

Ah but the day they let meh go FREEDOM!!!!
Mom took me to the mall to KB'S though i am sure she left me there while she shop in the dollar store. i think it was october cus i seem to recall some halloween stuff out and about. anyways toys--toys---far from what the eye can see---TOYS! ah yes, what joys it brought a newly recovering child from the sickness and the hell hole hospital....it might have been 89-90 i was 4 or 5 but thar' they were! NINJA TURTLE TOYZ! GLORIOUS SIGHT AS I CAN REMEMBER! STOCKS OF'EM! ON THE WALL TONS OF'EM! EVERYWHERES!
OH LORDY! what my lil eyes could gaze forever, let the image sink into my mind forever and ever!

i looked up those toys...and what did my eye catch amongst others that beg for me to take'em home?!
none cought my eye more then my namesake screen name METAL HEAD~! he looked bad ass, he was the coolest thing! to me 'an evil turtle for my ninja turtles to fight!' BAM!!! METAL HEAD! so, i picked him up. my mom came back and asked me what i wanted....i chose metal head...i think it was cus he was an evil robot turtle to me...perhaps the gold body...no....i think it was thr pinkish light-piping eyes...so cool...and so...after all that hellish torment out of life did i bath in my days playing with this toy. he along with leather head & mondo gecko....was my number one fave....

last month i found him in a flea market a lil dirty with some dirt but just fine missing an arm....i replaced it with a crappy old' don from the 'shell hidden' gimic...all in all i love it. ah, but as i gazed at his pinish glowing eyes as i hold him up to the light....memories flow my friends...fond, fun loving memories.
gawd i felt like a kid again when i look into those neat pipe light eyes....ah....*sing song* meeeemmmmmooorrrrriiiieeeeessss~!

Would any of you tmnt fans like to share some sick day memories--and what ninja turtles did for you when you went to get a new toy that is, TMNT? plz share for me, as well as for those who enjoy reading 'TMNT MEMORIES'

Normally I refrain from topics like this for no reason, but...

When I was sick in the first grade with chicken pox and convinced I was going to be dead, my father picked up the regular Rocksteady for me. He tried to be clever, and I felt for his ruse. He was asking me what to get some kid that he worked with; either the Action Master Bumblebee from Transformers or... Rocksteady. Being a Bumblebee fan, I told my dad Rocksteady. Why let the brat get my Bumblebee when it was the store...

Well, my dad got me both. And I got 3 days off from school due to the chicken pox. 3 days to enjoy my new toys.

The only times I remember being sick and getting a TMNT toy, was once I was around 9 me and my folks were in a wal-mart and I just happened to run up on a Leatherhead action figure. And being a fan of his appearances from the toon, I instantly begged to have him. So there I was, waiting in line with my folks in the pharmacy line at Wal-Mart, holding my soon-to-be purchased Leatherhead action figure. And anticipating what scenarios I would place him under with the rest of my TMNT's toys. The other time, was on my birthday, I was unfortunately sick, but my parents made up for that by getting me the newly released Technodrome playset. And as you can well imagine, I perked up quite a bit afterwards. *laughs*

No gifts due to illness for me, in no small part due to the fact that I was only sick twice. I had to buy all of my own TMNT figures. Just as much fun, and far less vomiting required.

LOL... Nice. I can recall staying home sick to play with toys instead of going to school. Ha ha...
