Blast From The Past!

Hi everybody! I'm Jen and I'm a TMNT nerd! I watched the original cartoon, ate the breakfast cereal, and my sister and I collected every single TMNT Archie Adventures comic book. I think the two of use were more into those than the Mirage comics but I've been trying to read all the old stuff lately.

I was out of the TMNT fandom for awhile as I moved onto other things, you know, one of those people who loved turtles but had become interested in things like boy wizards and anime.

But I watched the new movie and now I want to get involved again. I want to buy all the movie toys, find out more about some of the characters from the movie that weren't in the first three movies or the original cartoon. I may even track down copies of the current series cartoon DVDs and that that weird, live action ninja turtles show with the Venus girl. That would be interesting to watch. I assumed that show was created as a response to Power Rangers.

I don't know about you, but would have preferred a series with Mondo Gecko than a new turtle.

Oh, and I have figures of all kinds. I didn't collect as heavily as some of the people I've seen online. o-o I maybe have a handful of the original figures and some of the new. I just bought the movie versions of Don and Raph, my two favorite turtles, and I think they are just so freaking awesome I now have to have every single set from this series. I LOVE the new turtle 3D design and I hope they use it for tons more stuff! A TV series maybe? My goodness the possiblities! :O Mostly though, I want more PSP video games, because the one game we do have is a bit low scoring for us gamers. Not as much as a challenge or as much fun as I thought it would be when I bought it. Want a nice traditional TMNT game with the new style, that'd be sweet. Maybe am updated remake of the first TMNT game. o-o Oh wow thats a good idea!

A bit about me: I'm a writer and artist from Ontario Canada. If I could meet any of the characters from the series it'd so be Mondo Gecko. Lol. I am suck a metal head/rocker, the two of us would totally cut tracks together! I also do fanart of all sorts of series, and slash fanfiction (not Slash the turtle! Though Slash did rock in his own rip roaring way!)

I plan on writing a TMNT fan fic of Mondo proportions. Mwahahaha. I love Mondo. I've also been having some fun with screen caps. I read the Macros thread and just about died laughing for two days straight. I have a feeling this forum is going to be sooo much freaking fun!

Oh and one last thing. Cowabunga is SO not a dead word! Cowabunga lives! Don't let awesome fantastic righteous totally tubular words go into obscurity because people are obsessed with the 'next big' fad. I would hate for Mike to pop out the bling and start saying 'fo shizzle yo!' It just would NOT be Mike!

Oh, and one last thing...I miss Ninjara and Mondo and all those characters from comics. Wagh! We need more of them!
