I think we also could have a thread about references. Wikipedia had once, but now it's been deleted.

The Wild West C.O.W boys of Moo Mesa were also in an ep of Fast Forward.

Also Tales of the TMNT 52 out in November will be a crossover with Mirage and TMNT Adventures as Cudley the Cowlick will be appearing as well as a return of the Wild West C.O.W boys of Moo Mesa.

You mean "Tales of the TMNT #52"? (see http://www.ninjaturtles.com/html/upcoming.html).

Updated the list a bit, and decided to add Sherlock Holmes anyway; Wikipedia lists things like Batman/Tarzan as crossovers, so I though, why the hell not.

Well TMNT Archie crossed over with Archie who crossed over with Punisher from the Marvel universe who has had crossovers with Godzilla who has crossovers with almost anything Japanese. And Marvel has crossovers with DC Comics that makes the list way too big

I mean we'd have Street Fighter, all of capcom, SNK, Mario Bros, Link, Pikachu, Austin Powers, Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny just out of the top of my head.

I think you guys forgot about the Power Rangers, back when The Next Mutation was on

When did it became public domain? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Conan_Doyle died in 1930 and the episode first aired in 1993.

Nope, The S has it in the first post of the thread.

As you see, that article was edited today (4 November 200

, I do't know if "Power Rangers" was listed there before, I don't remember that.

Pretty sure it was. Even so, S's latest edit was done before jimmy's posting.

Can the Mutanimals from Archie be counted as a crossover? I know they were originally the same comic book.

Mutanimals are more of a spin-off of Archie TMNT. Maybe this thread deserves a spin-off notation. Like for Fugitoid and Gizmo in Mirage?

EDIT: Still no Vanguard notation on Image crossovers? Man, tough crowd! Among all obscure superheroes, he's probably the one I'm most interested in learning more about. Don't ask me why, cuz I don't know. He just seems like he has so much backstory! He's an alien life-form who has an April O'Neil like reporter-girlfriend (or at least she wore a jumpsuit in the TMNT Image issues) and a robot/pet that likes to change into stuff even though it's not supposed to have independent thoughts!

And he's funky looking! What's not to love?

Nah. Since they started in TMNT, their own comic would be a spin-off from it.

Yes, but they still returned to the TMNT stories sometimes.

Yes, they did. But would still be from the fact that's where they started. The most that could be said of for a 'crossover' is on the basics of a story from TMNT Adventures continuing in an issue of Mutanimals and going back to another issue of TMNT. As the Mutanimals went back to being in TMNT Adventures (when their own comic ended).

It's been on there since the topic started.

That doesn't matter. The character became public domain, I'm 99% sure. Edgar Rice Burroughs died in 1950, and the character of Tarzan (but not the name, apparently) is public domain in the US. And it doesn't matter because I threw Holmes on the list anyway.

Yup.

[BTW, apparently, posts have to be ten characters long to get put up on the board]

Why did their comic books end? Bad sales?

I like Vanguard allot and was super happy he and the turtles crossed paths in image, I am on the other hand not happy that I can't own this.
