The Original, Mirage, Then came cartoon, It spawned archie, And when Mirage Volume 2 ended, Image did a TMNT series too.

So 4+ The new cartoon.

Well there are only 2 origins. The Mirage and the cartoon one. Or actually the Movie one differs a little too.

1) mirage
2) cartoon
3) archie
4) movie
5) image
6) next mutation
7) new cartoon

And on top of those... You can also throw in the COOTS album and the letters section at the official site. They're not as major as the seven listed, but they certainly have the turtles in a different environment.

The live action show in 97 was horrible. I was like "Good God, what have they done to the turtles?" If you think about it, the Next Mutation kinda goes where the third movie ended. They live in that abondoned subway and all. I dunno, maybe my minds just playin tricks again.

TNM kinda tried to take the movie universe and mix it up with the old cartoon style. If you think of it as they were trying to do a parody, it's actually quite amusing.

So, yeah, what are we up to now, 9 universes? Good gracious, don't try and count all the fan fic universes or we'll be here all week!
