Favorite TMNT season and why?

What is your favorite TMNT season and why is it your favorite?

As for me, my all time favorite is season 1, due to it being a self-contained story and have a good balance of comedy and action. Plus, I also like the animation during that season as well.

My favorite is a tie between 4 & 7, but only half of each. 7
minus the European vacation episodes is pure awesome as it consists mostly of toy character appearances.
Season 4 has my favorite in it (Cufflink Caper) as well as a lot of it's own cool cameos (Bugman, "Ray", etc.).

i honestly dont have a favorite season i like them all equally with the exception of vacation in europe side season..i cant even watch those eps of dvd those are the only episodes in my collection that i havent watched.

Seasons 1, 2, and 7 (with honorable mention to the CBS episodes from Season 4)!

I like for the multitude of new characters (often mutants) that get introduced and the general sense of continuity these seasons possess (without completely overhauling the status quo like the Red Sky seasons).

Season three - I really love volume 3 of the DVDs.
Specifically because of the episodes Turtles on Trial, and Burne's Blues, Enter The Rat King I found to be very humorous.

Aw, you have a point... Season 3 has so many good episodes (especially the early ones) that I probably have to put it on my favorite list. It just feels like a fan cop-out though, since it has sooo many episodes in it.

season 4; the variety of eps that season has cant be beat. its the turtles at their goofiest, and the storylines are off the wall crazy.

i think the os turtles in turtles forever mirror the turtles from season 4 moreso than any other

I think I'm actually gonna go with the final season of the show. I love the red sky episodes, and the three part story featuring Shredder and Krang was the original series at its best (at least in my opinion).

I guess it's a toss up between 1 and 4, mostly because of the nostalgia factor for me. Those seasons have the most eps that I remember as a kid. Plus, the animation and stories are probably at the shows best in those seasons.

I like season 1 as its the best animated and has the best mix of action and comedy. I like season 2 for pure nostalgia as its the videos I always used to watch and what got me into Ninja Turtles when I was younger

Season 3 for a number of reasons.

Krang stopped being just a support character in dimension X and had a more important role.

Rocksteady and Bebop changed their voices to the silly voices that they would keep for the rest of the show.

New characters were added but not at the same rate as season 4 which had characters thrown in all the time just to sell toys. The new characters were also reused often like the Rat King, Leatherhead and Casey Jones.

It was in season 3 that we really start to see all the monster movies that the turtles like to watch.

It also has some great episodes like cowabunga shredhead and turtles on trial which is the best directed episode of the whole show. Good choreography in the fight inside the museum.

Basically season 3 is the season that best shows off what the original show was all about. There are more reason why I like it but I think that is enough.

Season 1 and 3. I liked season 1 because it shows how the turtles came to be and I liked seeing the Technodrome alot. Season 3 for the fact of new characters like Casey Jones and Leatherhead!

I liked seasons 6 and 7 because they had such awesome stories! I especially liked the episodes where the Turtles dealt with Shredder in the ocean.
