The Complete Story.

If this has been brought up elsewhere, I apologize and ask that I'm pointed toward it. Since I've seen how intense of fans you guys are here, I decided I would ask you experts the following question: If I wanted to be familiar with all of the TMNT lore, what would I need to do so? This is purely for content, disregarding how many times it's been reprinted or what not.

I have a list and would like to be informed if it is complete or not. This is what I have:

Cartoons:
  1. 1987 (193 episodes, all of which are on DVD, except Season 10)
  2. The Next Mutation (26 episodes, all on Netflix in the US)
  3. 2003 (156 episodes, are all of these on DVD?)
  4. Nickelodeon (Nothing as of yet)

Movies:
  1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze
  3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III
  4. TMNT
  5. Ninja Turtles (2013)

Comics:
  1. Mirage Volume 1 (62 Issues)
  2. Mirage Volume 1 Micro-Series (5 Issues)
  3. Tales of the TMNT Volume 1 (7 Issues)
  4. Short Stories by The Mirage Crew (34)
  5. Mirage "Minor Stories" (Gobbledy Gook, Gizmo and Fungitoid, etc.; 21 Issues)
  6. Mirage Volume 2 (13 Issues)
  7. TMNT & Flaming Carrot (4 Issues)
  8. Casey Jones North by Downeast (2 Issues)
  9. Casey Jones and Raphael
  10. The Savage Dragon/TMNT
  11. TMNT/The Savage Dragon
  12. Image Volume 3 (23 Issues)
  13. Image Bodycount (4 Issues)
  14. Mirage Volume 4 (31 Issues)
  15. Tales of the TMNT Volume 2 (70 Issues)
  16. Volume 4 Mini-Series (12 Issues)
  17. 2007 Movie Tie-Ins (6 Issues)
  18. Archie (72 Issues)
  19. Archie Mini-Series (18 Issues)
  20. Mighty Mutanimals (12 Issues)
  21. TMNT Adventure Specials (11 Issues)
  22. TMNT Movie Adaptation
  23. Secret of the Ooze adaptation
  24. TMNT III Adaptation
  25. TMNT Meet Archie
  26. TMNT Meet Conservation Corps
  27. TMNT Universe Sourcebooks (3 Issues)
  28. IDW (9 Issues, as of now)
  29. IDW Micro-Series (4 Issues, as of now)

Thanks!

That's a good start. Check out these sites for some reference material.

www.thetechnodrome.com - the main site has a lot of good info
www.mutantooze.org - this is my site, has some good stuff too
www.ninjapizza.com - great site to keep up with news

Plus there are many others, just check out the links sections on these sites for more.

Other things I would include in your list might be the unmade movie. The Coming Out of Their Shells Tour. The two Image issues that finish off the series. The toys, bootlegs, and other collectibles.

There's the various volumes of Manga, two episodes of a TMNT anime, an unofficial yet widely recognized fan-film "Casey Jones" that featured Robbie Rist reprising his role as Michelangelo, a good amount of blanks in your comic list, & there's some live-action home video stuff like We Wish You A Turtles Christmas, Operation Blue-line, etc.

And didn't some of the mags printed in England have some other Teenage Mutant Hero Turtle stories that we never saw here?

As for the 2003 series, it's all available on DVD, with the exception of "Back to the Sewers." They were released in 2 to 3 episode volumes. There are a couple of box sets floating around somewhere of at least season one. I don't remember if season 2 was ever released or not, though I'm sure someone will be able to confirm or deny that. Seasons 4 and 5 (the lost episodes) were released in a set, as well as Fast Forward, which was split into two sets.

The trouble with the "volumes" was that once you hit about season three, they started putting episodes on DVD randomly rather than in their proper order. However, if you're interested, I made a list of which DVD has which episode, so you can know what order to watch them all in.

Our own discordiatookie runs that blog. I think he got a little bogged down with other stuff. He might get back around to the site eventually though.

I was supposed to help him out with scans, but I was pretty negligent.

Unfortuantely, its basically a series of complete stories from multiple canons, and I remember an old link that showed a flow chart of all the different entities. There is clearly no definitive single story in the TMNT universe, making the debate about "the real thing" something that will be discussed for decades to come.

Don't forget to include the video games though, you can always just watch them on Youtube anyways rather than play them. This thread also reminds me a bit of gobo's marathon that listed as much media as possible.

Why don't you use my checklist over in the comic section?

Also, the main Technodrome website has a cover gallery so you can cross-reference the list to what you have.
