It all makes sense with Snakeweed now. Playmates are geniuses who knew? If you look at Snakeweed in box, you see a joint that has to be his legs for knee articulation because where else could it go. In other pictures you see he appears to have no knee joints, but you always see some plastic hanging off on where his legs connect. This means that what they did is make his legs in a interesting way so that when his legs are connected, the knee joints are now hidden. Playmates made hidden knee joints on Snakeweed of all figures?! They sure are improving the quality of their villains and now they might get back to doing the right thing.
