Favourite/Least Favourite
So the series has got a few episodes down on the block now, and I was wondering which episodes people reeeally loved and which ones you thought they missed the mark with. You can also use this as a shout out to your favourite moments (Though I know there's a thread on that), least favourite moments and other stuff.
Getting the ball rolling with my picks: Favourite Episode: It's a really close tie between Never Say Xever and The Pulverizer. But Never Say Xever wins. I don't know what the animators were on when they were doing that episode, but it was, by far, some of the strongest animation I've seen in the series. Donnie's dodging against the Purple Dragon was literally beautiful o_O Dat followthrough... But I hate to base this decision off of animation alone (I'm an animation nerd, it's one of the first things I go gaga for, I can't help it). It was nice seeing the guys trying to get a regular night out on the town, and it was also nice to see the concept of mercy brought up. For a show that deals with lots of fighting and violence (Not that I'm complaining, that's one of the things I love about it XD) it was a nice touch, and something that doesn't always get addressed. All in all, this was one of those episodes where all the characters really had moments to shine. I rewatch this one all the time. Xever is really awesome. I wish they would have kept him on as a human for a little longer before turning him into Fishface. Least Favourite Episode: The Rat King. I wanted to love this episode. There are elements about it that I really love. I love that Falco comes back, I love how he gets turned into this horrific skeleton thingy and kind of goes crazy. I love the brief glimpse into the father-son thing Splinter and the Turtles have going on, and the final battle was also pretty cool. But as a whole, it felt kind of disjointed. It felt a little bit too much like "This character is at point A, okay, now we're going to move them to point B, and now flip over to point C". The final showdown between Splinter and the Turtles made the episode worth it. But at the same time, I couldn't really help but wonder why the heck no one tried attacking Falco >_> Just sayin', dude was right there. Ninja star to the face could have fixed a lot? I dunno. WELL, GO ON GUYS, POST YOUR STUFF 8D
