As far as legitimate errors you might find:

Hair glued properly, eye and eyebrow tampos applied properly.
Good-looking figure with good likeness.

Versus...

Hair glued too high, eye tampos misplaced, eyebrow tampos misplaced.
Terrible likeness, figure doesn't look nearly as good as it should.

This is why you'll hear time and time again about a great sculpt being murdered by its paint job.
What a difference a couple of millimetres make.
