Why is April hiding the Turtles from Irma if Irma is April's best friend? Why doesn't she just ask the Turtles if it was OK they meet, and get it done and over with?

It could be because she's trying to protect Irma. After all Casey and April's lives are in danger because they know about the Turtles and by that result are involve in the Turtles problems.

And even through April possibly wishes she could share her secret friends with Irma, it's safer for her to be blissfully unaware of them so that way she isn't hunted down by the Foot or Kraang in order to draw out the Turtles.


Another plausibility is that Irma likes to talk, so maybe there is sense of distrust towards Irma about keeping the Turtles secret.
