Now that I think about it, there were OTHER clues that I don't even think the writers picked up on.

In season 1, during (I think) "Cockroach Terminator" or "Karai's Vendetta", we heard two Kraang talking about doing a gluten-free diet.

In "Of Rats and Men," Irma is complaining how the pizza wasn't Gluten-free.

In conclusion: Kraang are gluten intolerant.
