So Hun will indeed be in the show after all. I was really only half expecting it since for better or worse, the show did not seem to draw much inspiration from the 4Kids series. But you know, the Purple Dragons were in the show and let's face it, without Hun they're just that random street gang from issue 1. And when the EPF showed up, that made me expect at least some more 4kids inspiration.


So let's analyse the character as we see him in the story boards. Let's see now, Bruce Lee as a basis and may have black hair instead of blonde, not really invoking the old Hun. But you know, old Bebop was not a cyborg, old Rahzar was not bony and old Wingnut has nothing in common with Kirby as Wingnut, it's not as far off as some of the other redesigns.
And when it comes to references to the old design, he still has the Dragon tattoo (I'll post a pic if you didn't catch that) and while I'm not sure, I think the old Hun might have worn similar jewelry.

Plus, he still has the role of gang leader and Casey's rival. On that front I might be a bit worried that it'll turn out less like Joe Chill/Bruce Wayne, and more like Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy or Yugi Moto/Seto Kaiba given the reduced ages...
