Hi there!

Fellow German TMNT fan and experienced forum lurker here. Usually I wouldn't do those introduction threads as I often feel rather embarrassed writing about cartoon characters as a grown up (29 by now) but since it would be rather rude to pop in and out, as I usually do, I'll try to give it a spin. It's a good thing that comic movies are all the rage nowadays. Serves as a good cover

Barely remember the old show, honestly, although I distinctly remember me totally falling for the turtle van commercial from the TV and wasting a precious Christmas wish for it. Was worth it though.

The time I really started getting interested in the turtles (with all the comic back story stuff and all) was when I stumbled over the 2k3 series somewhere around 2010 and watching pretty much through all of seasons to the end of Fast Forward in one holiday week. I got the bad habit of obsessing over such things when catching interest and invest an unhealthy amount of effort and time collecting information. Until I loose interest in about one or two weeks afterwards. But I was quiet baffled finding such a rich history behind such a silly concept of mutant turtle ninjas beating up bad guys with varying degrees of violence.

Gotta admit that I never read any comics though, as I was pretty much burned out at that point.

Now I've stumbled over the new 2012 series and the circle starts anew. Plus the new movie that got out (quiet a moral dilemma, really. I know it will be a dumb popcorn flick at best but then again, those things only got a chance to shine on the big screen with good sound in my opinion).

Anyway, if anything, I want to say that I really appreciate the effort of y'all that you invest into this franchise with such an enthusiasm that I can only admire. This is both educational and inspiring. Also I'm grateful for making me look less silly, o'course
