I am curious about how the latest X-Men film will affect TMNT 2. There was room enough for two superheroes movies in two weeks with Guardians of the Galaxy and both were successful. I am not expecting X-Men to be as successful as GotG, but you never know if it will impact TMNT 2.

I don't think X-Men will affect TMNT 2 That much because X-Men and the Alice movie are out the same day in the US and the Alice movie will probably gross more than X-Men. Whoever takes the top spot that weekend, TMNT 2 will take the top spot from them the week after.

X-Men movie have never gone over $250M in the US

X-Men - $157M
X2 - $215M
The Last Stand - $234M
First Class - $146M
DOFP - $233

As this movie is getting mixed reviews and Alice coming out the same day, it's possible it could gross less than the last movie.

In 2014 TMNT did $191M so X-Men beat them by $42M. As TMNT 2 has Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady, Krang ect, i'm predicting it could gross between $200M - $250M in the US, so it's possible that TMNT 2 could gross more than X-Men but not by much. I expect it's going to be very tight.
