Triceratons home-planet?

Why most almost every TMNT version have the Triceratons home-planet destroyed? Using spacecraft to push around remnant rocks is also pointless (maybe except for mining). If the Triceratons home-planet exists at least for a while throughout a TMNT series, it allows opportunities for the turtles to explore it.

In "Tournament Fighters" for Sega Megadrive, we have a still-existing Triceraton home-planet and that was great. In the MWS series, we never knew for sure. The "Triceraton homeworlds" could have meant they had one home-planet, but expanded to other planets in that part of the Milky Way Galaxy.
