IDW/Mirage hybrid adaptation?

For some reason, possibly seeing that cringe inducing motion comic right before the PD3 news, I got to thinking about what a show adapting IDW would be again. The common counterpoint I tend to see is that there's too little material to work with, something I don't really agree with. Even if you needed to to combine four issues to make a single episode, you'd still end up with roughly fiftyfive twenty minute episodes, which could be broken up into four thirteen to fourteen episode seasons.

But let's say I did agree with the idea that it's too short to make work, what about throwing in a few Mirage stories? The thing about Mirage is that a lot of the stories aren't very continuity heavy, loosely connected episodes if you will. A couple of them should be rather easy to fit into the IDW continuity, if you'd really want to. Obviously you can't make Turtles in Space fit, but Donatello's micro shouldn't be a problem. Nor should many of Tales issues.

What do you say, could this work?
