Turtles No.4 Misprint Questions...

hi all,
ok -- a couple of questions concerning the rare tmnt misprint...

1) is it confirmed that only 800-1000 copies survived? surely others were kept at the time of the recalling?

2) what would you pay for a copy in F-VF? (can you tell where this is leading?)

i have a chance to buy one, that is all, but don't let that stop you giving me a realistic answer
