Do the math and see if it fits together. The previous update mentioning the books were available came on January 20th. Mirage is in Northampton, MA so that means they are in the Eastern Time Zone. Updates normally occur early in the day when Dan gets in, so anywhere between 8AM EST - 10AM EST.

You should have a confirmation receipt in your email, so check the time the email was sent (since it was automatatically generated when you placed the order) and make the necessary time zone conversion and see if it adds up.

If so, then maybe you'll be one of the ~24 to get one.

You should understand though, there are people (like myself) who check Mirage's various sites everyday so while you feel you may have been one of the first the speed of the Internet means you may have actually been number 78.

If you can't get one of the books then order something else. They have the Farley-cover collected books, which would get you the first 24 issues for about the same price (note: looks like they only have books 2 - 5.).

I really like those hidden turtles Farley painted into the scenery.
