New Free Comic Show in Baltimore

I'm no longer satisfied waiting for conventions and art shows to occur... Interrobang Studios is throwing one in Baltimore this May. Check it out.

WINDUP COMIC FEST 2010

The Windup Comic Fest is a one-day sequential art event, held twice a year in Baltimore at The Windup Space. Indie comic book artists and comic book stores set up shop for an afternoon of comic awesomeness.

There is no cover charge. The Windup Comics Fest is an all-ages event. Alcohol is available for guests 21 and older. Parking is on-street, or in one of two nearby garages.

MAY 22, 2010. 2pm - 7pm. 12 West North Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21201

P.S. Vendor Space still Available. Check the website for details.

One day, free to attendees, full of comics, and held in a bar. How awesome is that?

So, Kevin and I are still attending other people's conventions--just got back from AnimeBoston, headed to Tekkoshocon in Pittsburgh this weekend, and going to T-MODE in Arlington the next weekend.

To fill up those spare hours, I got a job working with a comics distribution company--the one that handled Mirage and handles Heavy Metal. I came on staff just in time to send three emails to Dan Berger over at Mirage as a 'fellow professional' ... then Mirage started to power down... it was still COOL AS HELL to talk to him as an adult with business and not just as a fangirl sending a letter. Also Heavy Metal yum-yum.

And that concludes my "OH HAI NOT DED" post for the next few months. Things are movin' fast now! Hope y'all're doing good and that this spring has been kind to you. Maybe I'll see some of y'all at Windup Comic Fest!
