i was born in 1990 , so i kind of missed out on the show but i loved the movies my whole life. I started watching the show later on i think it was still on TV but i made have had VHS's i'm not sure.

I'd say 1990-1991 was the peak of TMNT-mania.

New episodes continued to air until late 1996, it also continued to air in re-runs for several years after on the USA network. So it's quite possible you could have still seen the show as a kid.
