The 2012 Splinter

I figured why not talk about another character that seems to be getting a character overhaul in the new show: Splinter (To be fair, the only reason I started this was i saw the April thread, and I just drew a Splinter head...

I'll post him when I get home.)

So what do we know:
He used to be a human, Hamato Yoshi.
When he was a human he and his wife (we assume Tang Shen) had a daughter. We don't know if she's alive and well or if she may have been killed.
We know he's taller and more intimidating, ala the Archie Splinter.

I honestly have little problems with this development, but it may be my hardcore Archie fanboy-ness. I like the idea of Splinter being a force to be reckoned with (though the size thing is a tad unnecessary, he can still kick butt at a size smaller than the Turtles). Part of me hopes he resembles Chris Allen's take on Splinter from the comics.
He will be brown, since some of you were wondering (thanks Vaughn)

So what are your thoughts on how the Nick series will take on the Turtles' Dad?
