The Dromies 2012!

Hey, gang! I've been thinking about this for a couple weeks now and I'm fully prepared to put the work in and bring the Dromies back! I'm not gonna throw down any rules or anything yet, this is just to put out the feelers to see if the interest is there.

Holla back, kids!

Edit: Alright, for the immediate sake of my sanity in doing this and for those willing to help out, I'm going to put some pretty basic rules and some thoughts on the table to try and make this as painless and as FUN as possible. Key word in that entire sentence is fun, so let's all keep that in mind.

First off, if anyone is serious with helping me just shoot me a PM and we'll set up something where we can converse freely. From my one previous year of doing these awards this is far and away one of the most important aspects of putting these things together. At the same time I appreciate that a lot of people will want to have a hand in helping out, but I'm gonna try and keep the group small, not only to avoid potential arguments, but to keep things in control. Be warned, I won't allow for the awards "committee" to be nominated or voted for, to avoid any conflict of interest.

I'm planning to keep all nominations and votes entirely through PM, because publicly voting and nominating completely destroys this entire process.

I'm going to pair down the amount of categories significantly to remove possible redundancies and to keep it simple, but once the "core" categories have been worked out we'll open up the floor for people to suggest a few they'd like to see.

SPREAD THIS ACROSS THE FORUM! We've got an influx of new members and the TMNT sections are constantly buzzing, so let's get as many people involved in this as we possibly can. The more involved the more entertaining this all is!

The moment any whining begins, whether involving people upset with the awards themselves, the nominations, the amount of time it takes to organize everything, or any other petty nonsense, I'll shut the entire thing down and forget it. In the same vain, let's try to keep the kind of crap TMNT Canadian already pulled off 2 posts into this thread at a minimum. It's annoying.

I'll have the complete set of rules for the awards once I get a crew together and we begin hammering out the process. Until then, let's spread the news of the 2012 Technodrome Awards aka The Dromies, as far and wide across the forum as we can.
