Which Comic should I Re-start my collection with?

Being 18, I grew up with the Turtles show, comics, and Figures. Unfortunetly, a few years back there was a fire in the old house, ruined a bunch of stuff in the attic. As you can guess is, thats where my collection was stored.

Now its been quite a few years, actually close to a decade, and I'm going to start another collection. Which series/comic should I begin with? Also, which would be the easiest to obtain?

I can't remember basicly anything about the comics, and I'm really trying to learn all that I can to jog my memory.

Any opinions?

If you want to collect earlier Mirage stuff, I suggest collected books. Mirage is also currently publishing two series: Mirage Volume 4 and Tales of TMNT Volume 2. Both should be fairly easy to find in comic stores, excluding a few issues. The problem with Volume 4 is that it's got high continuity, which means starting from the middle of the series may confuse some people.

You can use the info on the Official Site to read summaries and see what appeals to you: http://www.ninjaturtles.com/

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear about the fire, dude. Hope everything turned out all right.

As for the comics, the Archies series is definitely the easiest one to find. The earliest Mirage comics will be the most difficult but nothing is impossible (except for a first printing of TMNT #1). Most of the different comics you can find at the official site, as Mistress Kali pointed out.

You can also give www.mycomicshop.com and www.milehighcomics.com a try. Those two are very reliable online stores, and I've never had any real problems. And, of course, ebay can help a lot as well.

Geez, well I hope at least no one was hurt in the fire...

Another option besides those pointed out would be ordering off the official site (www.ninjaturtles.com) itself. They have quite a few comics, although the shipping leaves a lot to be desired...

Hey thanks a lot for the sites, definite my next purchase!

Thanks both of you, yeah it was just a small electrical fire, did minimal damage to the house, but everything in our attic was basicly toast. Good thing for me the only thing up there basicly was a couple old mattresses, some old boxes and furniture, and my Turtles/X-men comic collection. Wait...
