TMNT 1 different printing

Hey guys, I know there is a thread here that goes in to extreme detail the differences between tmnt 1 printings but I can't seem to find it. Anyone know where it is?

I kind of forgot that now that the new series came up we have multiple issue 1's with a large amount of different printings

It was actually on a different forum, but regardless here it is.

It goes into extreme detail as to how you could tell the different three printings apart from each other if you only have a front cover to go on. Interesting read, also someone in the thread also seems to have gotten a third printing interior with a first print trimmed cover. Sucks for him, but an interesting read.

That was actually a boardie. I ended up purchasing that book from him and submitting it to the CGC (it's there being graded now) as they grade Counterfeits for most books. As a completionist, a counterfeit #1 had been on my list for a long time, and it made me feel good that I could put a pretty decent chunk out of what he originally paid for it.

Yeah, that was my book. I was always suspect about its authenticity since I got it. I even emailed Dan Berger with pictures once, to which he replied it looked legit to him. I took that at face value and kept it a few years. Then I ran into that thread on collector's society and, reading all the detail about the first printing, I submitted it to their trained eyes. Lo and behold, what I suspected years ago was true. Great informative thread.
I'm glad to hear it will be going into a CGC case so no one will get tricked again. In person it may not fool people, but online it just might.
