Spoiler:

i wouldn't call that an easter egg so much as an easter bunny hopping around performing roundhouse kicks saying, "I'M BASED ON CHUCK MUH-FUHN NORRIS!"

This thread reminds me of the "Pop Culture References" section of the attempt to reference thread on the OT forum.

Well, my contribution to this thread is that on the episode "Metalhead", after Donatello suggests to play the video game Combat (an Atari game from 1977), sounds heard include those from the game Asteroids.

I'm not sure if this counts as an Easter Egg, considering it's dialog and may be a reference to the OTS but,

in the episode The Turtle Terminator, when Rocksteady and Bebop kidnap Irma, and bring her to the warehouse where she sees Shredder and and The Turtle Terminator is activated by Shredder to copy Irma, as The Turtle Terminator approaches her, Irma says "look fellows, I'm not into heavy metal!"

In the episode Metalhead, when Metalhead and April are on the rooftop, Donnie asks through Metalhead (to break the awkwardness of starting at her and saying out loud how beautiful she is) he asks :laughs: "so you like heavy metal ?"

Donnie's helmet being a hockey helmet is most likely a nod to Rob Paulsen being an avid hockey fan.

Lol, I suppose that could be a stretch. But they do stuff like that in the show believe it or not. Mikey's skateboard has a Cipes and the People (Greg's band) sticker on it.

In "Mousers Attack", we had Irma trying to contact April right before it got smashed. We also had the "B-Team" (The A-Team as in the crime franchise was mentioned), as well as calling Baxter Stockman Dexter in reference to Dexter's Laboratory. Let's not forget the T-Phone's ringtone sounding like the classic theme.

All of that is wrong, except for the cell-phone bits. Dexter's Lab? Are you kidding me? & those poses are not at all related.

It makes sense in context Both Baxtor and Dexter are nerdy nerds who are nerds who happen to be genius' with machines

That's forced though. Dexter & Baxter are easy names to mix up.
