So you want Raph's pet turtle to be mutated into Spike where he'll either become:

a) A 5th Turtle, even if he's not a main character, he'd be recurring and team up with the heroes which reeks of either bad fanfiction or an awful Next Mutation-Venus type mistake.

b) Be a villain Turtle, essentially the same thing Slash is. You might as well say they're interchangeable then.


Both options are horrible. If Spike is mutated, let him become Slash. Him taking on a new name after mutation would be fitting especially if he's corrupted to become evil.

I can see your point. Honestly, I think Eastman has learned his lesson about the whole "5th" turtle thing with Venus, so I don't picture Spike becoming an ally. If he does, I don't think it will last. He may actually de-mutate in the end, or worse . . . what if he dies? Imagine if that really sparks some bitter behavior in Raph.

However, I think Spike will be Slash. Who knows? Mikey may call him Slash because of what the turtle has become. He's not going to be Spike anymore if he suddenly develops a whole new personality. I don't know what's going to happen. I mean, Corey Feldman must be playing Casey Jones. Spike is not an important part of the story. If he is mutated, he may be a mutant for only a short time, or he will become Slash. Come on. Nieli is good at catering to the fans, so I think he cares. Slash will come. Don't worry.

I think it'll be interesting to see Feldman come back. I'd like to see what he could do, and it'll be a treat for fans of his work. I'd love to see him voice a mutated Spike.

I 100% agree with this. No need to ever have a 5th turtle. It is much better having occasional recurring allies, such as Casey, Punk Frogs etc.

The 4 Turtles should always be just 4!

I don't really like how Leo and Raph are acting, especially Leo. I can understand Raph thinking he's so much better, but Leo? He's the leader, he shouldn't be telling his team they aren't as important as him, because I doubt he'd win a battle without them. Then again, he's only a fifteen year old...

At first I was against this idea, then after being on /co/ (lol, I know, terrible place) it actually made me want to see Spike be turned mutant and become an enemy because he hates Raphael because he feels that Raphael didn't try to save him from The Kraang... He would go by Slash as a meaning as he was torn away from his family

would be good development for Raphael as well.

also would be cool if Bradford has to save Xever from a prison and he takes up Spike/Slash as a temporary alley... and they have a Tokka Razar battle against the turtles

then in the last few episodes of the show Raphael and Spike will have their decisive battle over a pit of de-mutagen Ooze... and seemingly both will fall off into the pit

later we see Raphael in his room playing with a happy normal Spike

I, for one, do not want to see Spike get a new name. Leave him as Spike even if he gets mutated.

As for Leo's mindset, Leo has always been shown to have a bit of an arrogant streak in other incarnations such as 2K3 and the 2K7 movie, so it doesn't surprise me that he would feel this way here as well. It might be more of a mentality that Leo's the leader and he's the best because of that. Can't wait to see the ep though.

Spike should be like a member of the turtles in the ep he gets mutated then he gets almost killed and the turtles think hes dead and he gets angry and thinks they forgot him and he decided to change his name to slash or something.
