Did you watch the 4kids episodes where Don and Kirby travel to an alternate dimensional using a crystal that brought drawings to life?

In Mirage the same crystal was later revealed to be used by April's father to bring her to life, about 20 years before Kirby found it.

I kinda like the idea of April having some special abilities, but she should still be human. Also, just because she doesn't have a mother now doesn't mean she didn't have one when she was little. How do we know Kirby O' Neil isn't a widower?

Really though, I'm not gonna be surprised if she ends up being a normal human. But there are some signs that something is up.

Yep.

Apparently her father (Mr. O'Neil) used a pen, hence why she didn't vanish sooner or something. Yeah, it's one of those "I can't believe it's not fanfiction!" thing...

I dunno, Nick's Kirby seemed to be a mythology gag because Mirage's Kirby's crystal technically DID give life to her. It would make sense that's the name of her dad. I wouldn't give that much thought on it.

BTW I really didn't mind she was a drawing, but it bugs me that after this April left and went to Alaska. So anticlimatic. :/

I highly doubt this is the case, but it's fun to speculate about. I like having discussions like this because they add something to the conversation.

And Ciro left because there were people who wanted to live in the past and not accept the changes that were made. He couldn't handle that, so he left.

I don't know I kind of liked Tales of the TMNT Issue 27. I was a fan of how she got over the whole thing, because of magical mythical horse.

It was the fact that the last line of Issue 22 was April saying I'm Nobody. Felt almost too on the nose, plus it seemed like a little bit of an overeaction... Especially considering some of the other things she had been through up till that point.

I actually found that part to be interesting and they really should have thrown an extra Tales or 2 episode about her adventures as such.

No official information has been released, but this thread is purely speculation. She does attend Roosevelt High school, in which her student ID showed her wearing glasses and braces, definitely something very human, which must mean that April wears contact lenses.
