I guess Ritchson could make a good turtle. I'm not to familiar with his work so I can't really form an opinion.

Thank you! Someone who understands me! It was funny when Raj said that on The Big Bang Theory, but he doesn't suck that much today.

Besides, out of all the Aquaman performances, I liked Ritchson's from Smallville.

In second, John DiMaggio from Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

I'm not sure how he will do as Raphael. As long as the turtles are NOT ALIENS, then I'll be good.

I have no opinions on this. Dunno any of the dudes work. At least it's not someone I am familiar with for bad reasons. I'm fine with 'relatively unknown' actors.

Nah Stryker, more like I'm watching this weeks after, for Free, by other means...not pay good money & support a waste of film. So enjoy the Opening Night

And Jennifer Hudson? Sorry, but she (in my opinion) didn't deserve an Oscar for Dreamgirls...yes she can sing...but it's not that much of an acting performance.

Of course, the Oscars have been a joke for a long time anyway.

Sorry Ninjinister and ToTheNines, but I think Aquaman sucks...so feel free to PUNCH away...and I don't care for Smallville. That's just my opinion and not yours. Nothing wrong with that.

So yes, forgive me if I'd rather have an Actor playing a character that I truly enjoy, who is either:

A: an Unknown that could blow me away or surprise me

B: has better credentials than "Singer for American Idol" and "Aquaman on Smallville" on his resume

I read the title as 'ALAN RICKMAN to play Raphael' at first and went .. What??

I don't mind any of the cast for the turtles. I mean I never thought the American Pie guy could do a REALLY good Leonardo voice, so this might be the case as well.

As I wasn't familiar with any of his previous work, I pulled up a couple of clips of him as Thad Castle, a dumb jock in some scripted comedy series. I was mildly amused, but it's not really hard to play dumb jock. Also pulled up some clips of him as Aquaman; wasn't that impressed, really. Seemed so stoic that he came across as wooden. Again, I don't know if that's just how he chose to play the character, or if that's how limited his acting range is. It may even be the clip I chose to watch; maybe I'm missing context for that scene.

Wasn't wowed by his speaking voice, either, now that I think about it. Nothing that made me go "oh yeah, THAT'S Raphael!". At any rate, this news gets a shoulder-shrug and a resounding 'meh' from me.

This. I'm tired of people acting like Aquaman is useless, he is a member of the Justice League for a reason. I don't mind if you don't like Smallville or Aquaman.To raphroehler2003, Like you said it's your opinion(I'm a big fan of both, so you can always count on me to defend them) but still to me there can be a limit to to much harshness I can take before I answer back honestly

Like Shark_Blade said, it could turn out to be a "Jason Biggs as Leonardo" role and he could be a fantastic role.

Since I have no clue about this guy's background I really can't say much...I hope he does a good job.
I don't really think they would cast him for sex appeal since Who cares how he looks,I don't want to see him, I wan't to see a good representation of Raph. I'm way more concerned about the turtles design for the movie hopefully it won't be similar to the design of the "new" video game.

Still being scared to death by those promised changes to the TMNT mythos in the Bay film and the way things are going, I got an unsettling thought yesterday...

Bear with me a minute...

What if...

This is horrible...

What if Bay is casting model guys like Ritchson as the Turtles because we will see their faces at the start of the movie...
What if they decided that -like Hamato Yoshi himself turning into a mutant rat in the Wolf cartoon- they wanted actual human brothers turned into the Turtles...

Please tell me I'm wrong... Please tell me I'm full of it...

In any case, I'm not getting any sleep tonight....
