The second season of TMNT will feature a one-hour special with special cameos by the original voice actors from the 1987 cartoon in their old roles, including Cam Clarke (Leonardo), Townsend Coleman (Michelangelo), Barry Gordon (Donatello) and Paulsen (Raphael)
It says they will be reprising their old roles so awesoeme!

I don't know, despite what many may say, Turtles forever was one of the best anniversary movies I've seen

only second to Super Sentai's 35th anniversary movie

I'm kind of interested in how the story writing is going to intersect these two universes (1987 & 2012). Or more interesting, if they can follow continuity with the 1987 Turtles storyline.

Another point, unless these 1987 Turtles are going to be shown on television (like Leo's favorite show Space Heroes), it's going to be unusual seeing how these two different forms of animation interact with each other (traditional animation vs. CGI) ...unless they are going to give the 1987 Turtles a "CGI makeover" of sorts.

[QUOTE=MrTMNT2012;1079148]And here I was thinking the show couldn't get any better.... Loved this news![/QUOTE

My thoughts exactly! Man, I seriously can't wait for another multi turtleverse interaction.

This is super great news!!!!!! And I was getting homesick for the first two cartoons!

I can't wait to find out how they travel to the other universe, will it be the Technodrome portal or TCRI portal? I sure hope to see some continuity of the old toon, to find out if it takes place after Divide and Conquer or not.

I adore Mutagen Man. His is the the third or so episode of season five I rerun constantly. He's such a lovably daft character and you feel such sympathty for him

In other words, they're bringing in a bunch of horrible stuff I have no interest in ever seeing again. Fortunately there hasn't been too much on the Nick show I haven't at least been entertained with so far, so I at least have faith it'll be executed entertainingly.

Entertained? You..? I'm kind of surprised you're still watching the Nick series considering how critical you are of it. I'm just wonderin'...

Most likely they'll be in CG.

Andrew's a known pessimist. Unless the show has blood, swearing, and all the angsty boring crap that infests the comics, he's not interested. Ignore him.

I don't like the Nick show either, and even I'm excited for this.

What are the chances of some 2 way dimension hopping? Nick turtles enter the OT and get 2D'd and the OT turtles get a 3D makeover when entering the Nick universe.

Much more so than ever went into the 4kids show? A lot of those episodes were very much in touch with the original comic books, a lot of stories were based on those comics, there's surprising seriousness/risk like the episode "Same As It Never Was", it was a show that older people could watch, it had good action and a solid voice cast...but they didn't put much love into it?

It's your opinion and that's fine...I apologize if this seems like an attack cause that's not what I'm trying to do.

It just seems that ever since this new Nick show came out there seems to be some kind of backlash over the 2003 series which I don't understand...the 2k3 series imo is better than the Nick show in every way. But hey it's your opinion...

I think it sucks that Turtles Forever they couldn't get the original voice cast, and YET for this they Can get the original voice cast?

4kids didn't have access to the original voice cast. They wanted to use them.

I don't get it either...maybe it's because for all it's mature content and storytelling, the 4Kids show remained very niche in its seven years and failed to make a really big noise. Hell the Nick show is praised for doing more childish stuff than the last two seasons of the 4Kids version combined, which I know fans here didnt appreciate...how does that work?

The 4Kids series weak point was humor in my opinion, but those last two seasons aside, it didnt lack much in any other department. It's a fine show.

So, they're making Turtles Forever 2. I hope they will include Mirage Turtles and 4kids Turtles as well. Turtles Forever was a great 25th anniversary gift.

hmmm, forever and ever maybe XD

i'd love to see them switch 2d to 3d and back

btw, i have been thinking about a "turtles forever" beat'em up ever since the thread, where you would have different stages in different eras or at least different generations skins

Ah ok then...that is too bad. I now remember hearing something about that.

It's too bad they couldn't redo the voices for Turtles Forever and then have both versions available for people.

They actually did but couldn't afford them.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if they did and used sound-alike actors for the 4Kids Turtles?
