Man, I feel kind of out of the loop - the April/Splinter parts were pretty much the only portions of the episode I didn't particularly care about. Don't get me wrong, I didn't dislike them; I just thought they were kinda forgettable. Maybe it's because I'm still waiting for this version of April to finally grow on me.

on a different note...Mikey's fight sequence at the start of the episode was pretty sweet (maybe I just have a bias toward Mikey though lol ) XD

but he did the Maxi thing XD

Good episode, but compared to the last episode, it was kinda boring. Frankly aside from the Xever back story, and his interaction with Raph, It felt very bland to me. Also did anyone else get dizzy watching those spinney black and white things?

I also like the fact the guys EVADE laser beams. I know I'm nitpicking, but it really annoys me that in the older cartoons the Turtles would just stand their ground and block laser beams with their weapons.

Doubly so with Don's wooden bo staff.

Loved this episode, mostly I loved getting to spend time with Dogpound and Fish-face.

Loved Dogpounds small comments and roll of his eyes when Stockman begins on his speaches. "Of cause."

We really get to know these two now, as persons, and I really really like. Also love seeing them thrown into different scenarios and situations, again, just so we really get to know them, and I em excited about seeing where their characters will go in the future, there are many potential futures.

I also liked to finally being allowed to spend a little more time with April in isolation, I feel like I get to know her a little better know, which is great. My favourite moment was when she accidently knocked down that picture frame and asked who they were, I thought that scene was actually rather touching.

I thought this was a lot of fun, and a good way to merely spend a little more time with the characters so we can be more invested in them in the future.

It also seems to me that Dogpound and Fish-face has now realised that they just are a team now, and as a result works a bit better together. they are not as eager to stab each other in the back in this episode..
Or it's just because at first, they have Stockman to look down on instead of each others, and later they have turtles to hand out their undivided hate to, so they didn't even have time to hate each other in this episode.

WOW, I went into this episode with High expectations....and the Episode exceeded my expectations!

What an amazing episode, loving Baxter Stockman getting more into the action and the Labrynth had some of the coolest designs yet. Loved the Raphael/Xever stuff, and AMAZING Fighting choreography!

So yes, now we know the nick writers CAN Write Raphael very well! My only gripe with this Episode is that there wasn't a lot of humor in it but it was pretty much perfect.

Baxters Gambit was even better than Bishops Gambit IMO! (9.3/10)

I loved the design of the 'labyrinth' they had to go through. This episode was really fun to watch! Xever's backstory was interesting. And seeing him and Raphael as a team, (for that small moment) was so cool. Also I can't wait to see April use her killer fan.

What an awesome episode. I loved the maze and the look into Xever's past as well as April finally getting her weapon. I still feel it's a bit too soon for her to get it, but I can understand why she would want it. It was great to see Raph and Fishface actually working together even though it was short lived. Overall, a pretty decent ep.

Fave quote:

Raph: Now, where were we? Oh, yeah, I was going to turn you into fishsticks.
Fishface: No, I was going to turn you into turtle soup.

I may have gotten that wrong, but close enough.

Compared to the Cockroach episode? This one was much better in terms of writing and story.

I agree. IMO, Cockroach Terminator is the worst episode so far.

Its rather interesting how many Kraang storylines are going on here. There's the TCRI portal that's up and running, the sphere they used to drill into the Earth, the disintergrator beam they stole in this episode...and whatever the mutagen does on their homeworld in Dimension X.

Hopefully all this stuff isn't forgotten.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how freaking hardcore Splinter is in this show?

When April accidently threw that seith thingy and it came hurling back as a boomerang... and Splinter grabbed it by the blade using only two fingers..

He could have grabbed it by the handle or some-thing, or knocked it out of the air and it's collisions course towards April.

But no no. He had to grab it out of the air... by the blade... using only two fingers. o_O;

Seriously, if he ever meets Dogpound and Fish-face in hand to hand come-back, he is going to beat the snot out of them in two seconds flat.

They will seriously have to dedicate an entire episode to his and Shredders fight when it comes, no less will be able to cut it.

This was an awesome episode! I really enjoyed seeing April and Splinter spend some time together. I also have a little more respect for Xever. We can't trust him, but it was really cool to see him and Raph interact peacefully for a few minutes.

Don't worry.. I have a feeling all this is leading up to something BIG. Really BIG.

Good ep, some pretty funny lines too. I especially liked the "Magnetically sealed" Star Wars reference.
