I kinda agree. Especially her hands and fingers. In motion they look ok cause you don't really notice them, but when you see a screencap, her hands look really fake and creepy.

April's press shots look great, but there is that occasional screen grab where her eyes seem to be going in opposite directions..

On the topic of her eyes, do they seem a bit TOO shiny? In some shots, they look like anime eyes!

Like when the light hits them and they're really glossy? Yeah, I've noticed that too. Probably just an inconvenient lighting source in some scenes.

Well, and there's this thing I heard about with Rise of the Guardians where the cgi crew would light a scene a certain way and then, at the last minute, the director would change the camera position

Well I just watched this, back to back with Doctor Who. I only enjoyed one of the shows, and it was not Doctor Who.
I loved the look of this one. The black and white patterns as the backgrounds was quite hypnotic, and it made the characters really stand out.
The interplay was great and I liked the team ups. The constant Baxter bad naming was cool as well.
Overall I enjoyed this quite a lot, but only sniggered once, at the 'balls..' line. That was sneaky, but amusing .

On the April thing from above, in the show, she is the spitting image of her action figure

Got to catch a good chunk at work Friday and really enjoyed this episode!

I always like a good ol' rivalry team-up, and this ep really executed it well. I like how Xever and Raph found a mutual respect for each other and, while neither would admit it, probably secretly liked each other where, under different circumstances they could be buds.

Mike got to team up with his "pal" Bradford again, and it's still amusing how everyone still gets Baxter's name wrong!

The April/Splinter scenes were nice and held some poignancy; I enjoyed the close-ups on her eyes too, because they seemed to dilate and slightly flick as she looked at Splinter. Nice little touch of "realism".

And Baxter's better off as a freelancer for his health anyways. Look what happened to his 2K3 counterpart for example... took him three seasons and his body parts to realize working with the Shredder is a bum deal for him.

Think he'll loose his body parts too in this series? Or turned into a fly?

Maybe they'll do something different.

I'd like for him to stay human... not everyone needs to be a mutant or alien. I'd be okay with them mutating him in a later season though.

I really really like the relationship that is developing between Splinter & April. She's my favorite version of April ever no question. I had feels when Splinter called her my child. It's a great thing that he can sort of be her father while hers is in captivity, and that she can sorta fill that daughter void he has. Heart warming stuff.

But anyway the action was really cool too. As I had said in my thoughts about other fight-centric episodes, it looks like it would make for an awesome set of levels/boss battles in a video game.

I really hope they plan to explore Raph & Fishfaces little thing too, I found that very interesting. A+
Loved the episode as well. The development of Leo's skills is interesting to see as he pulls ahead of his brothers. But the fact that Raph felt the final sneak attack over Leo was so interesting, too.

The scenes between April and Splinter are really great. The fights scenes have been animated so fluidly and almost beautiful to me. I want to watch them over in slow motion, lol

I think giving us a bit of character development on the 'bad guys' was wonderful. Even with Raph kind of identifying with Xever. I loved getting to see how he grew into becoming a criminal. Not just, yeah, I'm bad and I love it and have no layers to my personality. Could they be setting up more for Karai's character in this sense? I wonder what's to become of Baxter now that he turned on his associates! What will Shredder do to him, especially since he failed so miserably? It can't be good.

Can't wait for more!

Definitely one of my favorite episodes to date. I loved that the writers gave us a look into Xever's backstory, and seeing him open up to Raph about his upbringing was my favorite part of the episode. It showed a depth to his character that I'm hoping will be further explored in future episodes since he's my favorite Nick TMNT villain.
Splinter's budding relationship with April was also a nice touch, it was cool to see just the two of them having an almost father/daughter moment together. All in all some great character development in this episode to balance out the action, and I thought the voice acting was especially good across the board in this ep. too.

Him, I feel like those generic metallic robots in the episode could have been replaced by the Roadkill Rodney's. I am dying to see them make a return in this series.

I laughed when I saw the new episode today. All the turtles got Baxter's name wrong. One of them said "Dexter Specman". Another called him Gexter. It was hysterical. Baxter can't get any respect from the turtles.

Loved the episode as well, as usual. Cool backstory for Xever.

Not so bad weapon of choice for April (part of me wanted her to keep the yoyo, lol but of course that's highly unconventional) hope she uses two fans.

The Xever & Raph alliance was pretty cool.

My favorite line in the whole episode was Mikey going someting like "Jerk, Turtle, Jerk, Jerk, Turtle... No wait... too many jerks..."

The Splinter training sessions, loved them as well.

Never before have I felt so attatched to Splinter. This show has the best possible version of Splinter ever imo.

And what's awesome, regarding the plot, is so many different sides now. There's:
-Turtles
-Foot Clan
-Baxter
-The Kraang
-Rogue monsters

City's in chaos! Can't wait for Casey Jones to show up... But I'm going to be very sad about Donnie "losing" April to Casey. Hope they make him very likeable. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Love how the story is unfolding.. I need to know why the Kraang needs April!!!

Yeah, I feel you on that. Any of the OT/video game robots would've been cool. I was honestly expecting some. I was bummed seeing him in essentially the same robot suit, I was hoping that he was gonna unleash something like Chrome Dome, Mother Mouser, or something else new and exciting that was series exclusive. I guess it was for the best though considering how fast they trashed the thing.

Yeah, I was somewhat predicting a "Giant Mouser" at the end of the maze too, especially since he said he had a new monster waiting at the end. Also since IDW brought back the giant Mouser too even if only for like 2 pages...
