Aw, I gotta say I'm disappointed that ol Tatsu and his Aikido mastery have kicked the bucket. I agree that Casey laid an essentially killing blow on him in the movie, but I think you might be setting yourself up for an undesirable "Casey as Murderer" subplot that could be awkward if you don't ever address it again. Maybe just assume that Tatsu got some moderate to severe brain damage from the hit and now prances around in Central Park in awkward outfits begging for loose change?

You can put him in a page with your Vanilla Ice design. I hear he's turned juggalo these days, which might make for an interesting Ninja Rap-

i was expecting more 50/50, like half interested and encouraging, and half uninterested or dismissive because of my weird redesigns and particularly my 5th/girl Turtle, but both here and on deviantart the vast majority has been positive. it's very encouraging!

i hope i can make this work next year and pull it all together. years ago i used to self-publish mini-comics between projects but i haven't done that in a while because my schedule's filled up so much, so i've been wanting a comic to do just for the pure fun of it, something that isn't professional and without any pressure, and this TMNT comic would be the perfect thing. i'm thinking about registering "secretsoftheooze.com" or maybe i should just run the comic on my blog, i don't know.

i got the story and characters outlined and i know what the ending is going to be, and i'm working out character arcs for each Turtle. and right now i'm doing Shredder sketches!

anyway, thanks again for the support, you guys!! much appreciated, as always.
WHOA Ross, is Casey in a Pantera shirt? Holy @$%#, that is sooooo awesome.

I want a commission too... but I'd rather see him finish this fan comic. Id rather not detract him from completion. Its looking really great. But maybe next time after he's done.

Interesting idea about Shredder's daughter, though I will throw out that Pimiko is a semi-official daughter of his as well, and doesn't have near the character-work that Karai has.

i was doing TMNT commissions for a few months after the Leonardo issue came out, but i've had to close down because i got too busy! so i'm closed for commissions at the moment, i'm sorry. i still have a few backlogged TMNT pictures to finish and i can't take on any more until i get things under control. i sure could use the money but it's tough finding time for commissions when i have my Image book to keep up with. hopefully next year i can do some more. thank you for the interest!

i alllllllllllmost went with Pimiko, i was THIS close! but then i figured that even my character would kind of end up Pimiko-in-name-only, so i decided to go with a blank slate instead. i do like Pimiko, and she has an awesome name and i like how she's got a group of kunoichi which is an idea i might use, but at the end of the day i decided that my Shredder's daughter character is simply a different character.

i'm a little disappointed in myself that i'm having Tatsu kick the bucket, i'll admit, haha. maybe it doesn't make much sense that i'm disappointed in a decision that i made myself, but i think it's best for the story. i don't think Casey-as-murderer is a big deal, though, i mean it seemed pretty obvious to me that Casey either intended to kill Tatsu or at least didn't care to determine if he did or not, and Casey also deliberately crushed Shredder in the garbage truck, if that wasn't intent to murder i don't know what is! so i don't think it's a big issue, Casey has probably killed other dudes while out beating up crooks, whether intentionally or accidentally, that's just the kind of guy he is. it's not pleasant but he's definitely a killer or capable of killing. :\

haha! i like that verse, nice. doing a third line-up is a great idea though, Dr. Perry, Vanilla Ice, Casey in his vigilante gear, and maybe a Foot ninja or two. good call!

Did you get the idea of Skess from T'Cleass the Bat mutant from the Palladium RPG or Scrag the guy who got mutated into a bat from the old toon? She sort of looks like a cross between the two. Her name sounds like a combination of their names, and like Scrag she is a mutant created by Shredder.

yes! you are right! i almost used T'Cleass, actually, that was going to be her name originally. at first i was waffling between T'Cleass and basing a character off the awesome Eastman/Laird porcupine mutant before going in the direction of a female bat.

anyway, it's great to see someone else familiar with the Palladium TMNT RPG, that was a huge part of my childhood, both that and the After The Bomb supplements like Mutants Down Under. i even tried to figure out a way to get Dr. Feral and Bio-Spawn in the comic but it didn't work.

i do not remember Scrag at all! damn. i had to look him up. was he later in the show? i didn't watch the Fred Wolf show much when i was a kid, i watched it here and there but i don't remember much of the specifics other than the theme song and that as a kid i was really into the crush between Michelangelo and Kala.

I have never looked at it that way, but you are so right! I need to watch the film again with this in mind (any excuse )

I just recently read RPG book and remembered that there was a bat mutant in it. Scrag was in the first season. He was human in the first two episodes of the season and a mutant in the last two.

Well... okay, Ross.

You do raise a convincing point with Casey and the Garbage Truck incident. It was clear what his intentions were in that scene from the end of the movie, even if none of us kids were willing to believe that Shredder could have been killed off so conveniently. hehe

I still think you might have to acknowledge that aspect of Casey's personality in your comic at some point, but I'll trust your vision for the narrative regardless!

Yes, please do! I also wouldn't mind seeing your Reporter April in addition to Vigilante Gear Casey.

Hmmm... turns out you really CAN walk away from being compacted in a dump truck ... multiple times, even ... with only minor injuries.

http://www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/3...rtoon-physics/

Granted, ending up either dead or like Ross' Shredder design is MUCH more likely.

But growing up, in the cartoon, it was established that Donatello made the weapons (if I remember correctly).

awesome idea dude, i ad a similar idea for some other movie, i cant remember what it was now, but the fifth turtle? since Venus De Milo i twitch when i hear that, i wasn't working on my comic i would probably do something similar, but i can give a quick summary of what would make the comic, if anyone is interested...
