Ah, but Shredder first questioned the Kraang in the Karai's Vendetta, Know he seems to know more, about Mutagen and April now. Also, I' sure April was sleeping, after all she doesn't stay up all night like the turtles

He's not technically gone.. forever yet. But at least he's out of the picture for a very long time.

Agree with that review. No idea why the Turtles using each others weapons didn't continue throughout the episode.

Maybe because they got caught disobeying the lesson by Splinter?

....Did you even watch the Episode?

I seem to be part of a minority here, but I didn't like the ep... like at all. So many things didn't make any sense. So buckle up, super-rant time ahead:

First you've got splinter demanding the turtles to switch their weapons, which is understandable, and a really nice way to see the turtles out of their comfort zone. In other iterations however (I'm thinking 2k3 here), they at least knew what they were doing once they traded weapons; they might have not been masters at it since it wasn't their weapon of choice, but they had some basic knowledge of how to operate them correctly. So, why did splinter force them to trade? If you think that they should learn how to fight with different types of weapons, you gotta teach them how to do it first. That's what training is for, learning. The whole point of the exercise was for them to learn to adapt in case they lost their weapons, not to force them to fight dreadful enemies with a big handicap.

They also missed a great bonding moment for the turtles. There is a scene, in which they are all in the lair, either contemplating or practising with their new weapons, trying to get the hang of them. Wouldn't it have been great if, idk, Raph came up to donnie and was like 'hey, you are doing it wrong', and then proceeded to teach him a few basics on how to work the sais. Then donnie could have done the same with leo, and so on and so forth.

Another thing that bugged me was when the foot ninjas were taking timothy to the warehouse. Why on earth would you use bikes for that? You literally have a van in which dogpound travels all the time, why not use that? Also, an effing fish is driving a bike... that's not suspicious, at all. We are on ep 22 (or 23, however you like to see it), and we haven't got even one mention of police report, or even of a shady photograph taken by someone of the turtles. It's like people don't even exist in this iteration... or maybe they just don't care about the fact that mutants are running loose down in the streets. The shellraiser is a smart idea since you can't see them in there, but the patrol buggies? in one ep they were literally slaloning (not sure that's even a word) around people in plain sight. It's just like they don't even care about being seen.

I'm gonna deviate here for a second and ask a question about the shellraiser: since they lost the power cell, how the hell are they powering that thing? in one of the eps after the first pulverizer show, in one of the interior shots of the van the cell was still in it's place; I attribute this to a lazy modeler more than anything, but it does make you wonder how are they still using that thing.

Moving on, another great moment was when the foot locked the turtles inside the warehouse, and they were like 'we are trapped!', completely dismissing the fact that they came in through a freaking window. Also, how did shredder know the pulverizer? I thought those affairs would be far below him, and that he would just ask bradrad to pick up an useless soldier for the test. But I guess that would have made sense, and we can't have that now, can we?

All these kind of things make me wonder if 2k12 will hold up to the test of time any better than other shows have.

The episode tried too hard to not be too dark that it kind of diminished the impact. The episode feels very dark at times only to have disclaimer dialog washing the hands of the turtles and blaming it all on the Pulverizer. Imagine if it really had been the turtles fault he got mutated, also having some lines like "what is happening to me, this is not what I wanted" would've been great. It's still a good episode but it could've become one of the best, something that rivaled say the banned Baxter Stockman episode of 2k3.

Not a bad origin for Mutagen Man, didn't like the design a lot at first since it's another "huge mutant monster" like the ones we've been getting from this show but I guess it wasn't too bad. When they put him on the tube I thought he would take his legs/arms out of the tube so he'd look more like his original design. I have a feeling he will still become the newtralizer, It'll be Donnies way of "saving" him, by completing his mutation. I'd prefer it not be the case but it seems like probably they won't forget him and give him a happy ending of sorts.

Aren't we supposed to see the Newtralizer this season though (this is an assumption on my part because the toy was already created)? We've also been told by the producers that Mutagen Man will play a big part in S2. Based on that, I don't see how they can turn Tim from MM to Newtralizer.

I like the theory that Newtralizer is from Dimension X.

It was never said anywhere we would get Newt this season. I even talked to Clockwork about him and he had nothing about the character. Fans were just speculating wildly again. And yea MM is playing a huge role next season. I still don't know why people think he'll become Newtralizer. Ciro loves Mutagen Man and wants to use him.

Most of this is just nitpicking. I really can't believe some of you people that have to resort to nitpicking to find anything wrong with the Episode. If you didn't enjoy it, that's fine, but atleast try to find something substantial to complain about.

If we were gonna point out the tiny mistakes and illogical continuity errors of any TMNT Show, we would be here for a LONG Time!

Wow I hated Pulverizer but now Tim's mutation was so horrific that I have not been able to stop thinking about it.
Fishface was a pretty horrible one also but this really takes the cake.
Tim was really annoying but he just wanted to help, and I seriously feel that he didn't deserve this fate.
Though my partner seems to disagree with me.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out in season 2 since it was said he will play a big role.
It's interesting to see the Shredder and Kraang thing finally playing out also.
But much like everyone else I have to wonder what the hell happened to Karai and April.

Like I said, Newtralizer being in S1 was an assumption on my part. I don't think it's a stretch to think he would be in the 1st season based on his toy release. Why would they release his toy now but not introduce the character until S2? I don't think I'm "speculating wildly" based on this.

I agree about the second part of your post. It's a big stretch to think Tim is still going to be the Newtralizer.

I believe the quality of a show is a summation of things, and all these little details affect how the story develops. It's not that I'm purposely trying to find ways to criticize the show since I really enjoy watching it. It's just that in this particular ep, there were a lot of little (and not so little) details that, when added together, affected the overall feel of the story.

My bad, I wasn't referring to you wildly speculating, there were others I were referring to. But some toylines do introduce a figure that hasn't been shown yet. The Prime Line had an Ultra Magnus toy come out and he didn't show up till Season 3. It's pretty common to happen that way. Heck look at Spider Bytz, appeared in episode 3 and still no toy released yet.

Yeah, but that Magnus toy is a one off. The new one is the one as he appears in show. They also made others who haven't appeared in Prime (yet)

But the point still stand, it's a character who didn't appear until the next season.
