Turtles forever is really just a tribute to TMNT as a whole. it pays homage to the original comic turtles, the 1987 series, and is also a ending to the 2k3 TMNT series.
i haven't seen it yet, though, i am getting it for my birthday

My opinion:
Turtles Forever is a great movie. Lots of references to other Turtle-media only Turtle fans will understand, the whole 4Kids cast back again, nice animation. It was awesome to see the Mirage Turtles kick some butt. HOWEVER. I hate it how they tread the OT Turtles here. They act like fools, and the 4Kids Turtles make fun of almost everything the OT did and had, from Turtle Power to the party van. And the 4Kids Turtles say 'What the shell' the whole time. Yuck. And they didn't even get one of the original voice-actors of the OT. But Raphael's OT voice... Just wow. You did a great job, Sebastian Arcelus. So, in my opinion, Turtles Forever is a great movie. It had some bad things in it, but it was an awesome tribute to the Turtles, and a great 25th anniversary movie. I give it a 8/10. Cowabunga on, dudes1

That's true. It's good that the replacing voice-actors are amazing.

The 80's Turtles were treated wonderfully.

"Wonderfully"...? Uh huh...
70-80% of the comedy itself was deriding the OT Turtles' approach on things (i.e. behaving cowardly and not being serious), when the OT Turtles in the TV series did take treats seriously despite their slapstick fighting. Turtles Forever can't go without 5-7 minutes without mocking the OT Turtles, and therefore implies some sort of ill-will toward the OT. It's analogous to a comedian on stage basing the same 70-80% of his comic material mocking one particular event/person. Naturally, the audience is going to wonder why that comedian is harping on that one event/person, and it strongly suggests a negative insinuation that comedian has about that event/person. ...But of course, we've been through this heated debate before. Raphael and Mikey's voice actors did a pretty good job, and Donatello's voice sounded ok at times, Leo's was beyond terrible. The turtles' characters themselves were an absolute abomination! It was cool seeing the multiple turtleverses collide, but they just seemed to make fun of the OT turtles every chance they got. I really enjoyed the film on my first watch, but after subsequent viewings Ive really noticed how much turltebashing they do on the ot guys.
