I think it's terrific how many people on this forum are such experts on what will and won't work in a TMNT movie. It's a good thing y'all are getting paid to write, direct, and produce a movie about it then, eh? Because we all know that "experts" get *paid* for their opinions, and the rest are just internet geeks mouthing off.

Seriously I'm sure this dude is over-stating his role in whatever the scene is. And either way, some people give more of a sh*t than they should about this.

Sounds interesting. I don't think Vernon will be a skilled fighter like the Turtles, but if he's punching random Foot Ninjas, then it makes sense he'd have to defend himself if they're targeting him. I'm not going to complain about this one bit and just wait and see how it plays out.

My thoughts exactly. I think he's going to be a bit of comedic relief in the fight scenes. Unfortunately they are going to put it there compared to none we saw in the original film.

The main thing is you guys keep thinking he's going to be anything like the Vernon from the show when it's becoming more and more obvious that he's gonna be Vernon in name only.

It's like they decided April wasnt enough of a human presence do she needed a male role to play off that also works at channel 6. Oh wait. Wasn't there some dude that works at channel 6 in the old show? Oh yeah! Do let's name the guy Vernon then to match the cartoon.

"fighting" is such a broad term. Overreacting a bit. Could mean he's using technological means to battle the foot. Could mean he sneaks up on guards and sucker-punches them, gets caught, and gets a lucky out. Could mean he's captured with April and they are being shoved around only to be saved by turtles. It doesn't exactly mean it's a frickin fist fight.

I'm pretty sure Vernon will not be able to win a face to face against a highly trained foot ninja with guns. Probably a sucker punch or something.

He used the term liberally. Quit operationally trying to define it. Some here are creating their own suffering by thinking about this.

You're right - I was imagining a one-on-one fight. I guess it would be possible for Vernon to win if he smashed one in the head with a chair or laptop or something.

Why would the actor say he was bruised if it was just one simple scene of throwing something at a Foot soldier?

Because it's still a physical scene, and people get bruises, scratches, and blisters all the time for so much less. When you're acting, you're doing the same little moment, over and over and over again, shot by shot by shot. Even doing a shot where you're just running and ducking behind a desk could be physically demanding. Get the picture?

People went to see Dragonball Evolution in theaters, what's your point. Going to see a movie out of morbid curiosity of just how bad it will be doesn't exactly make it a hit.

You toss money at them and make it a number 1 film then it's a hit in their eyes.
You don't want this film to do well then don't go see it and send a message.
