I won't stop watching it only because every now and then we get episodes like "The Gauntlet" or "Follow the Leader" and basically any B-story with Karai.
It's a Nickelodeon cartoon. It's target audience is my 7 year old nephew. It's also one of my favorite shows, but still - it's a cartoon about NINJA TURTLES and I find it to be WAY smarter than most cartoons.

You're absolutely right. The target audience IS your 7 year old nephew, and my nieces and nephews ranging from 2-7. So shouldn't you want the heroes of the show that your nephew watches to be heroic and not muscle-flexing douchebags? I'm not saying that's ALL they are, but IF the Turtles PURPOSELY mistake Baxter's name then I'm wrong, they're not morons, they're just straight up bullies...and that's worse.

I don't think 7 year old's are going to think like that. They aren't going to say "wow the turtles are being mean" nor or they going to say "Why can't they remember his name, are they dumb?" What they will do is laugh and move on, just like everyone else.

They're bullying... Baxter? The guy who sicced his killer robots on them? And beat them up in his big robot suit? And locked them in his death trap OF DOOM?

Don't take it too seriously, plus Baxter is a villain.

And also Baxter has admitted to some felony's when he was telling the Turtles (And Dogpound) how he decided to become a super villain.

For example he's states that for a science fair project that he created a volcano that spewed actual lava and ended up burning down the Gym. I'm no expert at law but...some of those offences include

Destruction of Property
Arson
Potential Manslaughter (As in the other people in the science fair nearly escaping with their lives.)
Possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

And he feels that his expulsion was unjustified....?

Dogpound 2.0 is a kinda cool design, I guess, but it seems kinda... impractical. All that exposed bone... how is that supposed to work? Maybe it shifted some things/organs/circulatory system into like an exoskeleton as opposed to an endoskeleton.

Finally just saw this episode on the DVR. It was better than I was expecting, and while I'll need to see Rahzar fight more against the turtles, I do like his design better than Dogpound and he looks like he could be quicker and put up a better fight now. Doesn't look a whole lot like Rahzar from the 2nd turtle movie, but still was a pleasant surprise to pull on us. And finally, those zits on Mikey were disgusting. I couldn't stand looking at them bobbing up and down like that. I wanted to jump into the screen and take a razor to him and just start slicing them off him. So horrible looking.

Here is my theory about that...

Remember when Snakeweed and the Roach Terminator got blown up into blobs of goo? While they were goo, they had no blood running though their bodies, and most of their organs were either destroyed or separated from their body. (And Snakeweed had 'died' several times.) They still came back. Their body cells didn't die without a blood supply or a heart, and could even reform back up again (Snakeweed) or regrow into a new body (in the case of the Roach.)

Now how all this fits into Dogpound's new form is that like those two others, his body parts can still live even without a constant blood supply. Theoretically because of this he might even be able to revive or come back like they can, making him a bit 'immortal.' So that's possibly why he can go to the extent of having exposed bones, because it won't kill him since he's almost impervious to death anyway.

a lack of muscles connecting his leg bones sure seems impractical...but then again...my disbelief is suspended because "ninja turtles"

Better late than never!

I was busy with my field based experience this past week, so I didn't want to post until I was finally done. But wow, what an episode! Loved the secondary mutation and was blown away by the plot twist. I wasn't expecting to see the henchmutants so when Karai suddenly showed up yelling for the both of them, I figured we were in for a heck of a ride. Can't wait for this weekend! I can't believe it's almost time for another new episode. Life flies by when you're working with 4th graders.

Quick question Blind Turtle: What do those 4th graders think of the new series?

In this episode, Karai shows more bossy and arrogant.

The introduction of Razhar was cool. (I wish to have Tokka as well, but a separate character from Slash).

I feel bad to Baxter to was practically hold hostage by the foot, but in comparation with 2k3 Baxter who was mutilated or the way 87's Baxter was treated, this Baxter is a lucky guy. Help to much in this show the things happened to him are present in a funny way (of course except when Shredder threats him or when Baxter was mistreated by Dogpound and Fishface). An example when he was locked in the roof after the fight with the kraang or when he tried to build Fishface's legs, and it was out of control.

I hope this Baxter didn't follow the steps from his previous incarnation, because aside Mutage man, he is the least evil villain if not he wasn't evil and unlike his counterparts, he is a true comic relief.

we gotta have at least one comic relief villain amirite?

it's funny cause...the boys don't even attack Baxter when they see him now, they are just like..."go home Dexter, you're drunk"

XD

IDK...I'm finding this Baxter strangely adorable

Oh they love it! They freaked when I showed a clip and incorporated it in to my cause and effect lesson in language/arts.

I know, right? As for them getting his name wrong, I'm pretty sure they do it on purpose to annoy him. And so does everyone else, apparently. When he's not around they seem to have no trouble getting it right. but to his face? Oh, you better believe they're gonna use that to push his buttons. It's like Spider-Man's quips and jokes when fighting villains- it's there to distract and frustrate them, in the turtles' case by asserting that they don't consider him a threat. It's basically their way of pi$$ing him off so he'll make mistakes, get frustrated, etc. But they really DO know his name- they just don't care enough to use it when he's around.
