sorry to bring up an old thread, but i just rewatched caseys trailer and remembered the last line. "You aint seen the last of me turtle"

with how casey is in this show, i kinda was thinking that hed just instantly get along with raph, im assuming. but it seems like that wont be the case.

im wondering how theyre going to meet and what each turtle as well as april is going to think

I think he's yelling at Donnie, not Raph.

However from what I've been able to ascertain from the voice cast interviews is Mikey is going to have the easiest relationship with Casey. He has a real lovable personality so I can see him really getting along with Casey.

Splinter at first will be like "What are you doing here?" which will be followed by "Maybe it will be okay for your to stay for dinner."
Casey will have a fear of rats in this incarnation so his first encounter with Splinter should be an interesting experience.

Donnie is going to have a frenemies relationship with Casey. They both will admit the other is a good guy to know and that they have their uses. But when it comes to April, they wish the other would take a one way trip to the moon.

Raph and Leo it's unknown.

My guess Raph might find Casey to be a good guy who he can pal around with.

Leo I think might agree that Casey is okay...but might be a little to loose cannon for his tastes.

i guess im just wondering if their first encounter is with or without april. thats kinda the deciding factor. with her, he may back down, without her, he has no clue their friends with her, so

as far as relationships, i wonder if casey and raph will be friends off the bat. or if it takes time.

and with leo, hes really the one thats up in the air. i could see him being fine with him, but i could also see him disliking him at first, maybe thinking his attitudes worse than raphs.

My guess is being Slash is out there in NYC now, there's probably going to be an arc where there are reports that a vicious mutant turtle on the loose, Donnie will be out in the city making sure that April is safe. Casey will find Donnie and will try and save the day by stopping Donnie who he falsely believes is the turtle on the loose, of course Donnie wouldn't want to fight Casey because he knows of Casey's friendship with April and will retreat from him.

Second time around, he'll find Raph and Slash around the same time span and the rest will be history.

I don't know about the report of mutant turtles on the lose considering Slash may know better then to just let himself be deliberately seen.

But I can think maybe he does try to prove he can be a true warrior without anyone else to hinder him. Also it gets the Turtles to come out of hiding.

April tells the Turtles there are rumors going around about a giant turtle attacking people like the Purple Dragons.

Everyone looks at Raph and Raph says it wasn't him, but he knows that it's more then likely Slash. The group Splits in two, Leo and Donatello taking one sighting area while Raph and Mikey take the other. April also accompanies Donnie and Leo. The three of them notice that Slash is in the area and prepare themselves for an offensive. April steps away to inform Raph and Mikey about Slash.

At that moment Casey appears and says that he heard rumors on the street about their being a giant Turtle running around, he didn't think there would be two of them. Donnie and Leo have to defend themselves however April steps in between them and tells Casey that these turtles are her friends.

Slash sees this and decides to use it to his advantage as he finds that photo of Donnie pushing April in the park Swing and tells Casey that Donatello has feelings for April and even shows him the photo. Casey becomes angry at the thought of a "freaky mutant Turtle" is trying to take his girl so when he sees Donatello with April later on, Casey approaches and he's like "Stand aside Red, I have a bone to pick with your so called Turtle friend."

Slash then shows up and grabs April knowing that Donnie would be distracted so long as April was in danger. However Casey also realizes April is in danger and decides to fight off Slash with Donnie, but says that this isn't the last they would see of each other.

Looking forward to see Casey develop in this series. I'm kinda hoping it will take some time for Casey/the turtles to see each other as friends.


I'd like seeing Casey being distrusting of the turtles for some time and preferring to do things on his own.


I agree Mikey will probably be easiest to become friends with.
Raph probably likes the way Casey gets things done.
Donatello, we've received hints about how he feels about Casey.

And as other posters already said Leo is likely the unpredictable element here. Leo probably appreciates Casey's contribution to the team but may also be worried that he seems like a loose cannon and about the influence he may have on his brothers/family.

I have only seen the first few episodes of season 1 plus a couple of later ones (no cable/pay tv) but going on everything else the Nick team has done Im sure this Casey will be just fine.

I'm digging this Casey, but the missing front teeth is a bit much. It makes perfect sense because of hockey, but to think a teenage girl would be attracted to a dude missing at least 4 teeth might be pushing it on plausibility.

Well, she isn't attracted to him yet and only sees him as a friend. However, I don't think missing teeth are a bad thing really. I can see someone being attracted to someone with missing teeth because it's essentially not about the looks but about the person themselves. At least that's how I judge a relationship.

Well I hope she isn't attracted to him, as I'd love it if they could be friends without needing to shove a guy and a girl into a 'relationship' just because they're in close proximity. She could be like a sister to him instead of a girlfriend.

I almost wouldn't mind seeing those two together from the way they had set it up in the beginning. At least they're not bickering at each other like crazy unlike the 2k3 series.

i could see that. and i think itd go well. with this april i really dont want her with donnie, as donne gets too focused on her, and dont want her with casey, as i think well lose individual screen time for each, plus then donnie is depressed. a friend role is perfect for them

agreed. as long as they take their time with it, and dont push them into a relationship immediatly (id prefer not even in season 2) then i wouldnt mind.

Yes, I agree. Have them be friends first and then if you want to put them in a relationship at all, just have it happen gradually.

From what I've interpreted is both Donnie and Casey are attracted to April. But April only likes them in terms of friend/brother figures not really boyfriend status as of yet.

I'm not a fan of April/Casey either, plus I think friendship stuff gets all too woefully underdeveloped in favor of shipping two characters together. April will likely not be interested in Donnie in 'that way,' but she'll be interested in being his friend. That's fine. But will they be brave enough to do the same thing with Casey? It seems as if mere or deep friendship is more of a 'nontraditional' thing to have female characters do with male characters in these kinds of settings, usually it's the default setting to 'put them into a relationship.' Pretty much I wonder: Do they know how to write a female character where she is just friends with a male character?

April/Casey will happen. It's always been part of the turtles mythos (sans the OT). Just like Cyclopes/Jean Grey.

Anyway, I really dig Casey in this version. I think Josh Peck does a good job. I believe once Casey meets the Turtles, we will know more about Casey's history. Maybe on how the Purple Dragons took away Casey's father or mother. We could possibly see an appearance from Hun. I think the Purple Dragons could use some more screen time because I think the Kraang are starting to become over-used. I would like to see more on the ruthless gangsters.

As far as relationships go, I think Don will have mixed feelings with Casey due to the whole April thing. Maybe we can see a possible adaption of that one issue where I believe Casey was upset with Don for not having anything in common with him and started to push Don's buttons which causes him to fight him (can't remember the issue). Raph will probably have the same best buddy thing they have like in other versions. Of course I can see Casey having more fights with Raph than Donnie. Mike will probably look up to Casey or just see him as a cool dude. I'm sure he'd be the next person to want to hang out with him. Leo will probably see him as vital to the team as April is. He could possibly be his sparring partner.

I'm really eager to see what the writers will do with Casey. I wouldn't mind if we even get any episodes that focus on Casey and the Turtles without April, like 2k3's "Fallen Angel" and "I, Monster".

Me having never liked Casey, really enjoy this version, and hope he gets screen time alone with them. Just like April. I feel if they are together we will always see them together and lose individual interaction. Hope she just friend zones them both. Then they can still have their rivalry while April is above It.

Can't wait that's what makes me so anxious to see more Casey is to see how he meets them and how it goes. (Who he meets first? Why? Does he attack them? Help them? Does April know? Is she there? Do they both try and save April?) and also how he interacts with them. I know Mikey hell get along with, Donnie freinemies, raph buddy's. But how is Leo going to act? And how do they get to these relationships. I need to know!
