The turtles look good so I hope this settle down people post costume leakage. I'm going to miss the traditional but I do like the idea giving each turtle his own look, it's something different. After seeing the Shredder pics I wanna know that back story.

What do you call what Leo and Don wear around their waists? The samurai-looking thing that hangs down? Because the loincloth and the hoodie now make sense, as Raph and Mikey's improvised versions of whatever that is.

I remember someone saying that the new designs look like Next Mutation on steroids or something, and I totally agree. Not a fan as of right now, but that's how I felt about the 2012 show as well.

It's not like they stuck merch wise with the 2007 movie design anyways, they always seem to go back to the original design.

The turtles in the nick toon are slightly retooled versions of what we already familiar with. I liked that because it was a fresh take on something familiar. This seems to me to be a huge leap from what I know/am comfortable with. As with most things I've encountered about this film so far: not a fan.

I do wish they weren't these big hulking monster looking turtles (really love the leaner builds of the Nick series) BUT I am a lot happier with what I am seeing than I imagined.

So, it's one of the first positive impressions I've had from what we know to-date. Another being April (thought she looked quite good, not a Megan Fox fanboy either), and the van which also seemed like a good design.

Again, wish they were less like body builders but some people really like that look, so I'll have to get over it. Also not totally sold on how they are really decking them out with clothing and gear but I'm keeping my mind open as always.

As for Shredder... again, looks like they did a good job modernizing him somewhat. Still hate that he's a white guy but again, we don't know a lot yet, can't really judge that detail till i know a lot more.

BTW... if we get lucky enough for Hot Toys to make figures from this movie they will probably look VERY MUCH like these figures... and I'd probably buy them, so let that be my final verdict on this leak.

That is definitely a vibe I get... with the key word being "steroids" But yeah, very Next Mutation-y aaaand that's not a good impression to make. However it does look better than that... as it should.

I don't know, a lot of the armory-stuff they are wearing looks really silly to me. But maybe they won't wear that stuff the ENTIRE film.

the mouthplate definitely feels inspired by Bayformers Megatron.

Shredder reminds me of Sauron mixed with IDW Shredder and maybe a touch of Bayformers. Yeah, I think I'm going to really love his look. Very deadly, very scary.

They look awesome, I think anyone complaining is like when people complain that Nolan's Batman has muscles and no underpants in his bat costume.

Just because we aren't getting the Mirage inspired live action movie Laird promised us years ago doesn't mean this new/different take is going to be bad.

I don't... yet? We'll see You can't deny that the past films from Platinum Dunes have been BAD (to be kind). The film as a whole is more important to me than the actual designs we see here, which I can live with if the movie is as good as say, the 1990 film (hah, that would be some kind of miracle)

No matter what... we still have the Nick show and the IDW comics!

It's good to see more of what we're getting. I had a feeling the shells would be huge just based on the mocap suits.

Donnie is kinda cool... it reminds me of the later era of E&L TMNT where he's slightly robotic.
Leo is more samurai, Raph does look more 'roid wrestler...

Eh... it COULD be much worse.
I'm happy with the Nick designs and the OOTS designs in the game. Still not fully sold on these guys, but it's not nearly as bad as I imagined.
