Mikey sure farts a LOT in this episode. O.o (that reminds me of that sound when Raph sat on Donnie in the dojo, he did fart on him lol)

Anyway back to the episode. Goodness gracious, why am I so emotional over a metal robot death? Because he's... good?

bit of a theory but any1 else think that metalhead getting destroyed was a way of opening it up 4 slash l8r on?

This was a really good episode. Metalhead looked like he was going to turn against the turtles but in the end, he really came through. my favorite moments is when his hand kept flying off and grabbing Mikey by the face. Maybe Mikey will now know how Donnie felt when his friend Leatherhead grabbed his face. Speaking of Leatherhead, I'm surprised we didn't him, besides the image one of you posted. And I thought the ending was really sad. Metalhead really came though. This is one of the best episodes of the season. Great job, Ciro!

Sometimes I sit and contemplate TMNT on a serious level. Plotlines, character development, loose threads, the artistic design going into each frame of beautiful animation.

Then I remember: Oh yeah, this show has a lot of farts in it.

After that, I usually go back to contemplating. Fan gotta fan.

I had some hope that Slash was going to try to come back with Raph. Well, I hope your theory is true, because that would be great. But I still hope Metalhead gets rebuilt too.

It wasn't him... Just a random background mutant. It appeared to use Newtralizer's model.

They would have still been released into the streets of New York, which is what you said they should not have done.

The mutants were released from their cells to cause chaos in the Kraang lab and fight the Kraang. The turtles couldn't really pick and choose what mutant should or shouldn't go through the portal because they were busy fighting the Kraang.

Mikey's just... flukey. He does things without thinking. Or rather CAN do things without thinking.

Maybe the portaloo thing is a sly referance to the Dr Rockwell, ninja-without-thinking lesson.

But that's most likely just over-analysing on our parts. Sometimes stuff just happens, there doesn't have to be a hidden message in everything.

Just sit back and enjoy the show without thinking about it. Be like Mikey.

This one was really good. It was really nice to see all those familiar faces again. Although i still hope we get a traditional Night of the Rogues type episode.

Metalhead wasn't in Fungus Humungous which makes me begin to wonder, I know the production code says otherwise, but I wonder if this episode was originally supposed to be before Fungus Humungous, because Donnie's attitude change and obsession for April's well being in FH makes much more sense if that episode was supposed to be immediately after Donnie losing Metalhead.

What an amazing episode. It really surprised me how much the ending with Metalhead affected me.

I really enjoyed it, not one weak part in this episode.

I really enjoyed the episode! I've never been a huge fan of sentient robots. I don't really get what all the sentiment is about for a machine that is programmed but that's just me. I thought the episode was super cute and Metalhead did grow on me and he is super cute and I wouldn't mind seeing a second, I did feel bad for Donnie that he was sad. I enjoyed the bits with Leo as he seemed frustrated and I think he was just hoping Donnie would turn the AI off on his own, so that was fun!

I loved the mutant prison, that was so MUCH win!

But the real treat for me was definitely Mikey, I just loved him in the episode, he seems to be remaining clueless but more believably so in that easy going manner that some people have (and I envy oh so much). I loved all the scenes with him! I especially loved the vending machine part xD And the portapotty portal! Like others have stated, I guessed Mikey could and the other couldn't due to him throwing mutagen on himself (I guess we'll see if it's true or not, I feel like it's a pretty obvious thing, but we'll see). It definitely was one of my fave parts (LTD, lol!) xD Oh, Mikey! Much love for ya!

I dunno, I didn't seem to enjoy it as much as others. Had the Slash cameo not been there, I likely would have just overlooked it. I find that sad and frustrating because this is the best Donnie's been in almost the entire show. I've come to dislike him in more episodes than I like him, so by this point, I couldn't connect with him, which is especially weird since I did quite like Metalhead. So the episode didn't have the impact it should have had for me personally.

That being said, it was still solid with some really fun scenes. I thought Leo seemed a tad cranky, but I really liked everyone else. The mutant escape scene was awesome, and while I didn't find it particularly surprising, I'm glad they didn't make Metalhead "go bad".

But the highlight for me was definitely Slash's appearance. It was great seeing him again, and I kind of love that Raph still calls him Spike. The little nod between the two was exactly the sort of thing I was hoping for - just a short, quiet scene to show the two still respect and care about each other on some level.
