What director would you pick for a Sequel

I personally do not mind Jonathan Liebesman and I think from what i've seen so far he's doing a great job. Some people think they could have picked someone better. If by some chance they end up going with a new Director for a sequel, what director would you guys pick ? A lot of people on this forum seem very knowledgeable about film and who directed what and I'm wondering who you guys would pick to direct.

My pick would be Brett Ratner. I enjoyed the Rush hour films, X men The Last Stand, Red Dragon, Horrible Bosses was funny, and hes also doing the new Hercules film. I just saw the trailer for Hercules and I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the CGI was and the overall vibe I got from the trailer was great. I like how he packs comedy, grit and action into his movies. Id like my TMNT film to be a little dark with a touch of Science fiction as well. I think he could be right for the job. I also think he tried to get the job directing this film but Liebesman got the job instead. I could be wrong but I think it was him.

Ok, pick a director and please explain why you think he/she would be good for a TMNT Film.

Hes got the CGI, comedy and grit/ serious tone thing down with Transformers. If he had an awesome story and did this film the way the first Transformers film was done id be pretty happy.

I don't like changing directors in a series, unless a movie is really bad... That's how you get Batman Forever's and X-Men 3's. Even if it's better, it's awkward as can be.

Brett Ratner doesn't sound bad, though.

I would pick James Cameron because he did a great job with Avatar, but first I want to see what Bay did.

Hah, cameron is like the buiseiset Director in the world, second maybe only to Del Toro and he only does his own projects. Avatar sucks by the way.

Nolan is great director and besides DKR all his movies are great, but do you seriously want him to do TMNT? Nolan makes big and thought provoking movies. All those guys you mentioned do mostly there own things none of them would do seomething silly as Ninja Turtles. You've got to look for someone who studio can control...

I would have two directors.

One for action scenes

One for Story

For Action scenes, i would actually have Michael Bay. If there's one thing Michael Bay can do, it's action scenes.

For story and non action scenes, I would Pick someone like Joss Whedon

I must say that He did a good job with Far Cry and I know James Cameron is so busy that he can`t walk straight anymore.
It`s just my opinion that he could make a Sequal awesome.

I agree Cameron would make a TMNT film look AMAZING and he usually has great stories in his films. Avatar was an amazing film. I also think It was the highest grossing film of all time. Nice choice

Ninja Turtles silly? Why are you even in this fandom? Goodbye.

And by that logic, Batman's silly (looking back at Adam West era and the early comic).

Maybe i said that wrong. To them it is silly, imagine someone saying to Crhis Nolan
Joe, Hey Chris, you wanna direct the Ninja Turtles sequel?
Chris, Ninja Turtles?
Joe, Yeah, it's about Crime fighitning humanoid Turtles, First one was directed by Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael bay and now we want you to make a sequel.
Chris throw him out of the window.

No it wasn't.. But rather than insulting me and trying to make me feel ridiculous about it why don't you try and contribute something constructive to this thread?
