I have a couple of questions about these:

Where is the best place to pre-order? I see BBTS has them listed in 2 different ways. One is sold out and is listed as: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Capsule Figure - Random Bag of 10" and shows the four turtles. The second one is: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Capsule Figure Mascot - Random Bag of 10 and shows Shredder in the mix. Are these the same figures? Why does the 2nd one refer to them as "mascot"? In the pic it looks like one of them has a chain on the back of his head. What's up with that?

Rick

I have too many Star Wars Toys and Marvel Selects are a tad expensive, depending on what I want.

Toys are toys, they will be enjoyed by their target audience. We may not like these, great! a kid will. I for one don't mind these, yet, I want to see these in person and I do not want to spend a bit of money on that auction.

It is kind of disappointing that the turtles don't have anything more than the main weapons they come with, Splinter has one accessory more than the Nick cartoon version, though. Shredder still looks overly complicated, like he stole an Iron man suit and added a bunch of spikes; loses on the whole warrior aspect to me. What's to say about the foot soldier, pretty generic like others have said, well at least he has a nice load out on weapons, a sight more than the other figures.

My reaction to those images:

Raph looks good, definitely a purchase

Splinter looks cheap, definitely not a purchase

Donnie looks Ok

Foot soldier can go away for all i care

Leo looks average, paints a bit sloppy

Mikey looks pretty good, apart from the head

Shredder looks ok. Should be a metalic paint job instead of a flat color

Overall, the figures look Ok, not all of them are worth purchasing, if you ask me

Guys they are 6 inchs tall read this from this site that posted troughs pictures
Michael Bay’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is set to be released on August 8th, 2014 and we still haven’t seen all of the action figures that Playmates Toys is supposed to be producing. A Reddit user asylumstrong was able to get their hands on Playmates Toys’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie figures a whole month before they are released!

Now these figures appear to be what Entertainment Earth has listed as ‘basic action figures’. In this assortment you are going to be getting Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, Street Disguise Raphael (not pictured), April (not pictured), Splinter, Shredder, and the Foot Soldier.

After looking at the images below you may think that these figures look very familiar. That’s because an official image of these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie figures came out several weeks ago. Though these new packaged images give you a better idea on what to expect as far as sculpt, paint, and articulation go. They stand about 6″ tall.

Playmates Toys still has two more assortments of figures that we haven’t seen yet, 11-inch figures and deluxe figures. What do you think about Playmates Toys’ TMNT movie figures? Will you buy them?

Mikey comes with just one nunchaku, that's interesting.

Nice to see toy Leonardo completely no-sell the shoulder plates, as they just looks glued on.

I have reserved judgement on these things until I saw images of the actual figures in boxes. Honestly I am rather disappointed, I have been waiting and hoping that they would be at least ok but turns out IMO they look ****. I mean just take a look at Splinter! and then as if he isn't bad enough the foot soldier makes him look good!
I am most upset about Leo, as I was planning to buy him regardless but he looks nothing like he does on the back of the pack - as in he is not hunched over so his arms look like they are coming out of his ribs!

That's about right. You can see he's probably a good inch or so taller than Newt and Slash.

I hate that Slash design, it's butt ugly and how the hell does a regular tortoise mutate into a snaping turtle?

These figures truly look terrible. Leo's head looks like a green play-doh ball.
