The user was banned because he/she broke the rules. It's that simple. Follow the rules and you won't get banned. Not that hard to comprehend, but some people obviously don't get it. And I think the mods here are doing a great job and should stay on.

Why does someone need to whine about the mods HERE? I came from another site where the mods are awful, terrible, and act like the whole site is a dictatorship and they're the dictators. If someone says ANYTHING that could in ANY way be misinterpreted as "rude" or some crap like that, poof! They're gone! If someone tries to give them constructive criticism on how awful they're doing with no rudeness at all, poof! They're gone!

The mods on here are amazing. Quit complaining when I had to deal with mods who didn't even know what the f**k they're talking about. Also, no offense, tmntmikey, but you would make a terrible mod. I'm just saying that right now, it's the ugly truth. AlphaAF was most likely banned for being a d-bag, as he has been lately.

Anyway, there's my little rant. I just really needed to vent about that.

tmntmikey, I understand that you're upset that your friend is gone, but as someone who's been a long-time reader of these forums: the mods do a great job. They give up a lot of their personal time to ensure that we all have a community where everybody can come to discuss all things Turtle-related.

The only thing that the mods ask is that people follow the rules - that posters don't name-call and they don't specifically attack other members. It has zero to do with being a new member - temporary sectional bans were issued to many long-time members not that long ago. The mods here are exceptionally tolerant, and posters on this board get a much free-er reign than on other boards, trust me.

People aren't being banned because they're positive about the new movie, or because of who they're friends with - bans and warnings are issued if someone repeatedly ignores the rules. These forums are for everyone, and if a poster continually breaks the rules, it spoils that for the rest of the members.

I don't want to see the entire movie section get locked down again - I know that we all have really strong feelings about this movie and that's great, but speaking for myself, when I feel myself getting angry/frustrated about something on here, I go and cool off and think before I post. Sometimes other members say things that I don't agree with, or that I find offensive - in that case, I just don't post a response to what they've said. We don't have to take on every internet battle.

Nobody has EVER changed someone else's mind by arguing with them on the internet - everybody here has their opinions and they're not going to be changed by anything that anyone else here says. I think the sooner that we accept that, the better off we'll be.

We should all just try to stick to the golden rule, IMO:

The reason AlphaAF was banned was because it was a duplicate account of a member here on the forums. Duplicate accounts are very much against the rules... It has Nothing to to do with someone being new or old, anti or pro movie, hardcore or newbie.

I don't want any troubles to pop up in this thread, so I'm just going to close it, now that you have your answer:
