That's Ninja Turtles. The old cartoon is extremely different from the Mirage comics as well.

Sometimes Splinter is Hamato Yoshi, sometimes he's Yoshi's pet rat.

Sometimes the brain squid aliens are evil and called Krang or Kraang, sometimes they're neutral and called Utroms.

Sometimes April is a computer programmer. Sometimes she's a reporter.

Sometimes Slash is Bebop's pet turtle, other times he's an alien from a turtle planet.

Sometimes Leatherhead is an alligator mutated by the Utroms who's mostly good with occasional mood swings, sometimes he's an evil cajun-accented gator. Other times he's Jess Harley, a swamp person mutated by a witch from Dimension X.

Sometimes Karai is Shredder's superior from the Foot home office. Other times, she's his adopted daughter.

This is the way this franchise works. You can't get too attached to one universe and expect all of the others to follow in lock-step.

I always preferred Bebop over Rocksteady so if they are not equals I prefer Bebop have authority over Rocksteady. I am silly like that.

What on earth? They're still the characters just revamped. Bebop and Rocksteady are the same characters with different names as humans.

I thought this was a pretty meh episode . I like how this is bebop and rocksteadys debut but I cant get over baxter buzzing . I understand phil lammar may have been unnavailable but why have him there it BUGGED the heck out of me . Also the episode seemed rushed especially the end . And i'm not the biggest fan of steranko being rockstedy he doesn't seem idiotic enough . The episode had it's funny moment was with tiger claw and rahzars interaction and bebops sillyness but there was still toilet humor like with the diaper jokes the enraged me . This episode was a 7.5 would have been better with out baxter . Also tiger claws fighting sucked in this episode he kicked there shells last episode and now leonardo could beat him that easily

pretty gd ep, don't mind the change in leos voice since it adds more personality but the high pitched stuff w/ antons voice is a bit annoying

the fight scene was pretty cool

Leonardo's voice is probably the best sound a-like I've ever heard in a cartoon. Usually whenever they change a voice in a cartoon its extremely jarring, but Leonardo sounded practically identical. Only one or two lines sounded like they weren't delivered as well, but he was pretty good.

Bebop was great and I love that he's still funny.

And yet you're not complaining that bebop isn't a dumb as rocks street thug. And apparantly have no problem with steranko being rocksteady as long as he magically loses the accent. You're insane and make no sense.

Just face the fact that this is a brand new show and everyone is extremely different from past versions and just deal with it.

I love Bebop in this show, and his design. I only don't like his name Anton.

I like the design of the Russian guy, but he needs to lose the accent if he becomes Rocksteady.

And yet Anton is NOTHING like bebop except for his appearance. Such a hypocrite. They could have had done random white dude act just like 80s bebop and you'd complain.

The accent (or at least the broken English) isn't gonna go away so cut it out.

Really? He's purposely played for laughs and is somewhat of an idiot in this show. He got hit by the Turtles driving their van into him, he got found out by Rahzar, he accidentally shot the Russian guy in the eye, he jumps from rooftops saying "Yeeehaa!" and he got tricked into giving baby diapers to Russian man.

Its not the same type of stupidity as OT Bebop, but he was clearly portrayed as a funny silly character here.

Nah, I just think he screws up a lot, I never got a "comedy" vibe from him. I don't think this Bebop will ever reach old Bebop in terms of stupidity.

Plus he's a master theif with the skills to steal shredders helmet. He's a totally different character. He is comedic, but in a wild fun-lovin fast-talking kinda way. Not in a incredibly stupid and incompetent kinda way

You seem to not understand the difference between a new take and the same character. Every character in the Nick show is a new take, but they're still the same characters.

Anton IS Bebop.
