I cant believe we are less than 2 months away from the release date and barley got any useful info or scenes !...just see what marvel is doing with Guardians of the galaxy...we got many trailers, interviews, tv spots and its coming out only 1 week before TMNT...

Paramount probably is holding back until they are done promoting TF4, after that I'm sure the PD TMNT marketing will be saturated.

Yeah, I agree...my guess is TF4 will be the major jumping off point for TMNT. What better place to showcase the full trailer and beginning of major marketing for the TMNT movie that Michael Bay's summer blockbuster?

Thats exactly what I was thinking.

Im guessing they are using the latest trailer (3), and its limited release in theatres as a gauge to how well (or poorly) newer footage is being accepted.

comes july, and they go balls out with a full trailer, spots, etc. i've confirmed with reps @ Lego, that JULY is TMNT month - they are dedicated their entire store to all things TMNT (both movie, and NICK show).

it would surprise me at all, if they allowed to Transformers to have its spotlight, and then hit full force with TMNT.

EDIT - ***If nothing else, they (PD, PARAMOUNT) will not allow this movie to go completely unheard of prior to its release, they are still business people, and business people want to make money off their investment. period.

I saw this "behind the scenes" thing on Nick today, it was just a quick commercial/tv spot. No new footage, but it did show the guys in the motion capture suits and (poorly) explained how it works.

...and from what i can tell...Leo is charging forward when a Foot slips behind him, and attempts to jab him with a tazer, and at the last second, Leo does a 180, and uses his swords to first stop the tazer, them disarm the Foot completely.

Instead of the MODs banning those that are truly negative and disruptive they close down threads and it prevents the rest of us from doing what we come to this site for which is to share information and have discussions.

i dont expect hummingbirds and rainbows, but i'd expect a little decency and maturity. general cordiality and thats what i would hope mods and admins would WANT encourage as well.

Since everyone's letting their frustrations about the forums out in this thread, let me explain a lil something about the moderator situation...

I have three other mods, tops, who are able to come and try to clean up the bickering and fights. Two people, handling 100+ threads consisting on average 8 or more pages of posts per day. Each containing 20+ posts per page. Per day. Do the math.

On the weekends it's nearly double.

All four of us mods have full time jobs. Jester has a family to take care of. Venom and GK have personal obligations to tend to.
Even if I were to sit here like a hawk 24 hours a day, I would not be able to keep up with some of the fighting here on the movie section. We volunteer our time to help out because we love visiting this forum. We love watching and reading the turtles.

Having been here for so long, I have gotten to know most people around here - some people are good, some are big flaming turds. But I am not going to just ban someone outright on the first strike.

I believe in giving second chances. Do some deserve it? Maybe not... but I do not want to see the Drome become like other forums that ban you if you necropost in your first postings. That's ridiculous. If I am guilty of being too generous with second chances, so be it...

The main issue I see here on the forums is not the matter of different opinions. It's how people deliver their opinions and treat others Because of their opinions. Calling fans 'whiny bitches' or 'plants' because they are both excited about the movie and tired of negativity... or calling every person who doesn't like something about the movie 'haters'... this all poisons any chance of GOOD dialogue.

There are real trolls on here that are being dealt with. You just don't see everything behind the curtain. And to get conspiratorial about why someone's here or not... dude, we get behind in what needs to be done here. It is called backlog. It sucks. It takes up time. But we work through it.

Because we want the forums to succeed.


That's it. And yes... this thread will be cleaned out. Unfortunately, I am on a time limit, and cannot do so tonight. But I ask you to please consider what I've said. We work hard to give you guys a good place to post about TMNT. Nobody's perfect.. but we're trying.

Valid and well put. I just don't understand the name calling. Disagreeing and even fighting seems appropriate to me. Sarcasm maybe, but insults and such have no place here and you guys seem to be doing the best you can with the waves of BS that come through here. So, thanks and keep up the good work.

Did it show any of the Stunts being done in the suits? We know the actors who are playing the Turtles, But it would be cool to see behind the scenes footage of an action scene.
