Just watched the Shell Shock music video.

Man, some of the CG looks really fake and it looks worse against the really detailed life-like CG of other parts. Splinter looks particularly out of place in some shots. Maybe it's earlier pre-finalized footage they were given for the video?

I really don't like the colored marks on their shells. Seems another dumb addition to try and make an explanation (read: Excuse) for their bandannas.

What if after mutating, one of them liked a color other than what some human scientist marked on their shell?

I do like a lot of the action scenes, though. Still looks fun. And it will break my 1 month sabbatical from pizza, so hey, go ninja, go ninja, go.

I also can't listen to it without kind of thinking "We ride together, we die together. Bad boys for life."

The way I look at it with this Shell Shocked music video is that TMNT has always had whatever what current with hip hop and electronic music at the time in with it's movie media. Of course we all grew up with "Turtle Power", "Rockin Over the Beat" and "Awesome" from the first 2 movies so it's hard to not listen to those with nostalgia. As someone who currently listens to a slew of all kinds of hip hop (Kanye, Death Grips, MF Doom, Bones, etc.) I don't mind the fact that they're using what's kind of current in 'popular' hip hop right now with this TMNT movie. Of course, musically I think I still prefer the styling of electronic beats and sounds that go with the early soundtracks because I love to romanticize that style of music that you can still find in bands like Timecop1983 or Autre Ne Veut.

Just a small little defense in regards to the song, sure it's silly.....but it is what it is!

Nice, Paramount. A poster with the date September 11 and an exploding building on it. Nobody will take offense to that.

Agreed, I have no real issue with the music. It's fairly catchy.

Almost everything pertaining to this project becomes trainwreck one way or another.

I lived in NY when this happened, and I had family (who worked in the towers) and friends directly affected by the attack - this doesn't offend me in the slightest.

Explosions happen in nearly every major summer blockbuster - NOW, is it an unfortunate coincidence that a film that has building explosions is also releasing on the 11th of September, yes. BUT are people reaching to make something out of really nothing. DEFINITELY.

I'm also a New Yorker, whose father's car was covered in soot from the towers when he managed to make it home safely. I personally am not offended, but there's no denying that particular ad is in poor taste... People would be reaching to accuse the team of intentionally doing this to cause upset, yes, but it's not reaching to make the immediate connection & find it distasteful.

Hey thanks guys! Just something my brother, an equally gigantic TMNT fan, and I were discussing the other day. We busted out the old Sega Genesis and realized we never had the Hyperstone Heist...so we were on a mission to any video game type store that carried old school games to find it and we were listening to the old TMNT soundtracks. We talked about how silly the song is but realized that in terms of kids now, they're probably eating this song up just like we did for some of those tracks on the old soundtracks. Possibly.

I too find the beat very catchy as well.

I personally found it funny how such a big studio could make a gargantuan goof! The marketing hasn't really been clever, what with the 'Shelfie' video and such, but this is plain stupidity.

Not offended, just find it funny.

TMZ has picked up the story.

I expect other news sites will mention it too.

Does anyone else think maybe this was intentional? I mean, there's no way they're THAT dumb right? This must've been a publicity stunt!

No it's just coincidence. It's just that Australia's release date for the movie is on September 11th and the poster was released a couple of weeks ago. They probably have to use a different poster now.

I don't get why some people getting upset over it, 9/11 happened in the US not Australia. If it was a US poster/9/11 release date, I can understand why people would be upset.

I wouldn't be upset if another country had a poster with the turtles coming out of an exploded train and had July 7th release date.
