This is why I love the internet debating fictional characters on a message board is a great time killer between shifts and it takes one mind off more important things for a bit. As I said elsewhere, it's really hard for me to ignore when people are harassing and antagonizing people I respect. And I'm well aware that those people can and do speak up for themselves. I just have a real problem with that sort of behavior in general, and I don't believe in being passive.

Silence is the same as condoning. I don't condone; rather, I condemn the behavior of certain immature people who find it impossible to simply let other people have an opinion that differs from theirs. They don't belong here if all they're going to do is act like that. And I'm not going to let Their Kind pollute this place if I can help it.

If I notice someone being a jagoff, I'm going to call them on it, regardless of which section of the board it's on. I found this site like 3 or 4 years ago when I was looking for tattoo ideas, and started to really get into the fan art, seeing as my only artistic ability is being able to draw a TMNT head.

So to answer your question where did I come from...I kept seeing in IMDB posts, and comments sections of various websites people being some how offended at the humor in this movie and I can't stand people who get offended at humor. I came here to see if there was any comic con footage, and noticed the same complaints about the humor and it blew my mind, that a community of TMNT lovers somehow feel like NOW, THIS TMNT MOVIE is too offensive. That THIS April O'Neill is being treated as a sex object, because we know full well the 1990 April was just one of the guys! There was nothing sexual going on between her and Casey

I decided to comment on that subject along with 2 others, and got sucked into a battle of opinions that cannot be won. I am learning though, it seems the people I've been "discussing" this with seem to have a reputation around here...very interesting.

And to correct you if you're wrong. To be honest, the new movie is hardly the first time a TMNT product was bashed. Look up Next Mutation! Venus in particular. Just because it's TMNT doesn't mean everything to do with it is holy and not to be approached with disdain.

I was simply saying it's absurd to ask people defending the movie to shut up and move along when this is a message board I would bet that is mostly positive talk about the Turtles.

I could give a f*ck who agrees with me, I just can't stand that "Nyah Nyah, You're A Hater" bullsh*t some people try and pull. That's got no place here. Not one person who thinks the movie looks bad is asking anyone to agree with them, and I really can't see where you and yours get that from.

Literally nobody is saying, "This movie sucks, agree with me or you're stupid." There are, however, quite a few people saying, "This movies is badazzz, and if you don't think so you're stupid," or something similar. Find me an example of one of the "haters" or "whiners' or whatevers actually saying what you accuse them of saying, that they have to agree.

Nobody's saying, "Agree," they're saying, "don't act like a child." Period. And furthermore, people who have been here for any decent amount of time shouldn't stifle themselves for the sake of a few people who aren't even still going to be kicking around this place in 6 weeks or so.

Ok, this will be my last reply to you, because now you're just taking my words out of context.

The reason I started commenting here, was to try and understand why people were offended by the type of humor in the trailers but are ok with the same kind of humor in past TMNT versions. You may be right about the burping being in the 2003 version because I did watch Return of the Shredder the same day I watched the first 87 cartoon.

The person on twitter saying the movie was good for a Michael Bay movie is an uniformed person. Michael Bay didn't direct it. It's not a Michael Bay movie. I was proving a point when I was talking about how uninformed people who are against the movie use "Michael Bay ruining my childhood" as a reason.

And Next Mutation is absolutely horrible. There have been many horrible versions of TMNT, this movie is not even close to being horrible looking.


That last thing you commented on? I didn't even write that, so not sure why you're lumping that in with my comments, more reason for me not to give you any more of my time.
