I could take or leave a sequel. I guess its a good thing because it still promotes the TMNT concept (albeit poorly) and keeps the brand relevant. I hope for much better quality but certainly do not expect it.

I'd rather see Bebop and Rocksteady in a good film. So no. Let someone else take over.

Not really happy but I don't feel that I care enough about PD's "contribution" to the franchise to pay any attention to the second one, positive or negative. Enough of my time and energy were wasted on the first one, I just feel completely apathetic about the whole thing now.

I'll say though, I am 99.9% positive the sequel will make substantially a lot less than the one out now.

I'm indifferent about a sequel right now cos I still haven't see the first one. October 17th can't come quick enough.

I guess that's one reason for me not to be glad. This section filled with all of the box office 'analysts' blah blahing about what it's definitely going to do. Possibly maybe for sure.

I was ok with the movie, but I'm pretty happy it was successful. Even if I despised it, the fact that it basically guarantees the IDW book and Nicktoon will be around through 2016 is enough to keep me placated, I love them both.

I kinda think that would happened even if there wasn't a movie out. Especially the comic. I'm sure a lot of the people with kids going are fans of the Nicktoon, but I doubt more than 10% know there's a comic out.

I wonder how many people who saw it out of curiosity and disliked/hated it would actually see the sequel, though? A lot of people despise the Transformers movies, but they tend to make decent bank - though less and less in North America, to be fair. If TF4 is any indication, the shine may be coming off the Michael Bay apple a bit in my part of the world. If so, his movies are gonna depend more and more on the international market.

I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Well, OS might be something else. It seems the OS markets tend to like the big robot against robot action, over the top action sequences, and they like high speed car chases, which is probably why movies like Transformers, Fast and Furious, Avengers and The Dark Knight did so well. I've also noticed movies with British actors in them also tend to do well. Maybe if the sequel was to get a British guy to play Casey Jones, maybe have some more over the top high speed chase scenes (can't believe we didn't have a chase scene involving the Turtle van in the first movie) it might do better than the first OS.

Well the money could be used for movies more likely to be good, so not really but I bet the producers enjoy that they can make a sequel.

I liked the 2014 movie. It had some glaring flaws and wasn't great by any means, but it was decent for what it was. Anyway, I think and hope that a sequel will improve on certain aspects that worked. Plus Casey Jones.

Only the minor (practically minuscule) possibility that a sequel can only improve upon this years movie that it's actually passable as a movie in itself let alone be a movie that treats these specific characters and story right is what has me interested.

I'd say I was cynical about promises of The Raid style action scenes and the turtles being the focus of the movie as well as teases of Oroku Saki and a greater back story and mythology I assumed it was based on something but it all added up to a big fat nothing.

If they want to convince me they've got a real challenge on their hands. Unless they show me otherwise I'm going to believe the opposite. I don't think I'm alone in this.

I've noticed since the movie has come out, both Eastman and Laird have been quiet about it. Perhaps they are disappointed in it as well, and just decide to not talk about it?

Didn't Eastman think this movie was awesome when he watched it? Also, whatever happen to that cameo he talked about at one point? I could have sworn he said he'd make a cameo.

I think he saw a different cut than us, one that was probably more awesom than the one we got. But two weeks later, and nothing. Nada. Kevin is probably getting ready to prepare for the Nick toon coming back, and Laird has been keeping quiet about it all.

I haven't seen the movie yet and I'm not really surprised that it is getting a sequel either.
