Nahh I changed my mind, I'm not happy one bit that this movie is getting a sequel.

I think I'll just skip it.

And I guess the cut 'in disguise' bit had him wearing different sunglasses... hmm...

There really should have been a scene of April looking anxious and bored while Raph is tearing around the house looking for the right sunglasses to wear because the ones on his head just won't do for this disguise.

The main thing for me: The Turtles are not forgotten. People who pay attention to the Turtles by watching new films can track the thing up to the origin. They come into the enjoyment of the beginning.

That's clearly the main line of thinking that went into writing/producing this movie, so that wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the scene when Raph throws himself into the car and it crushes itself, his glasses almost fall off and float in mid air before landing back on his head. It's the weirdest thing. It's like the movie is taunting you with their extra accessories.

I agree. A lot of their flair I guess you would call it stays in impossibly good condition throughout the movie. Nothing ever got broken or lost. Raph even managed to hold on to his toothpick when the debris fell on him in the lair.

No, new fans deserve something better than this.

Eh, they got the Nick toon. Even the worst filler episodes on the Nick toon is ten times better than this movie.

I'm not terrible excited about the prospect of a sequel. But I'll most likely still watch it and find something about it to enjoy same as with the current film. Even if it means trudging through a bunch of things I don't like.

Am I happy about it? Sure. It'll maintain the series' popularity (not talking about just these movies, but the series as a whole). And the concept of Dimension X is, creatively, a lot more open-ended than the things they were dealing with in the first movie. So the reception may not be quite as harsh next time around - though I wouldn't put it past Bay to make it something ridiculous, so maybe I'm speaking too soon.

Am I surprised that it's going to happen? Not at all. There's no way they designed that Turtle Van just for the ending scene; certainly they had other plans for that thing.

Having finally seen this 'interpretation' I have to say a big HELL NO! I really wanted to like it but it wasn't Ninja Turtles. It was a cash grab plain and simple. So much was lacking they should just hit the restart and do it right. Kevin Eastman was a consultant on this??? nickelodeon was cool with this??? It just boggles the mind...

Reboot it for the love of God with the Right Director, Writers, Production Company, etc...

But since that aint gonna happen any real time soon and the sequel is now inevitable which will be PD again. I'm willing to put up with the designs (the Turtles NOT Splinter) and with the cast... even Megan but get rid of Shalloub and give Pete Ploszek a chance. Knoxville didn't add anything that Pete couldn't do.

BUT You Must Without Fail 100% Get These 2 Things RIGHT:

1) Write a solid freakin script, minimal to no plot holes, intelligent thought out scenarios and dialogue, vulnerable characters with soul & development not hulkish super strength giants, have a specific story that can't be cut and pasted into 'any other' film...you get the idea... seriously...it's not that hard...this is what you get paid for.

2) Get a director who can direct a freakin fight scene, they're ninjas yes but when they fight you should SEE it and it should be skilled, creative, fluent moves, not brute force conquers all.

If and that's a big big IF they can get those 2 Things Right then yeah it has a chance but do they care enough to do it....

Yes, I'd watch the sequel. I liked the movie quite a bit. My expectations weren't too high so I was satisfied. Oddly enough, had the same experience with Transformers lol. I just like going to the movies.

Hey, found this thread on imdb. I hope it keeps going. (Spoliers and Not recommended for fans of this movie) But for those who found...well more than a few inconsistencies, it's hilarious and sadly true. The really scary thing is there was a script worse than this.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1291150/...read/234212350

Maybe just maybe for the sequel write a script that doesn't do this...

Yes, would definately see the sequal. I enjoyed the movie. I would only hope that it would focus more on the turtles and their relationship with each other. It took too long to see them in this movie. I also hope that they take note of all the mistakes and plot holes and work harder to make a cleaner and more seamless movie.

I think it was a given that the movie would have a sequel.

I don't like the way the Turtles were treated, I don't like the movie at all just as I didn't like Bayformers.

I assumed this movie suffered mostly from short run time and being an origin story and then the rest just action action action.

If the sequel, now with the origin out of the way, is just more nonstop action without any downtime to get to actually know and care about the characters then I have no hopes for a third and this entire trilogy will be ****.

I can't wait for the sequel I loved this movie as I loved the transformer movies. I also want a sequel just to see how enraged some people get over the movie.
