It could be because she's trying to protect Irma. After all Casey and April's lives are in danger because they know about the Turtles and by that result are involve in the Turtles problems.

Heh, well, if Irma might talk, Raphael could just threaten her. It would totally be his style, and I could totally see Irma scared enough not to whisper a word.

In fact, even without the Turtles, Irma would be in danger hanging with April since she is the one targeted by the Kraang. April's life wasn't endangered because she befriended the Turtles, initially, on the contrary, the guys got involved with the Kraang because they saved April.

But I can understand April not wanting to reveal to her best friend that she herself is a mutant, I'd get that she wants to keep some semblance of normality in her life.

Personally, I feel that she's keeping it secret to save Irma the stress of being targeted because she knows her. Imagine if Irma knew the turtles and Shredder knew about it and used her to try and get to them? So yeah, I feel it's to protect her.

So, how do you think the Turtles and Irma will finally meet? By accident, say she barges into April's room and the Turtles just happen to be in there, or maybe at the ice skating rink or the Japanese resturaunt? Or maybe it's finally during a fight scene, and she gets thrown off of a building and one of the Turtles has to swing by and save her? Or maybe the show will do what the OT did, and say she watches April get kidnapped again, and all is left is April's phone, and Irma uses it and is connected to one of the Turtles, and they have no choice but to show who they are to save April.

How about april will lead irma to the lair to safety from foot bots. Once there irma turns into a spy for the Kraang and is voiced by Gilbert Godfrey. Who sends up portals for the kraang to invade the lair. There's your irma story ending...

Yeah, I hated that this happened. This was one of my least favorite episodes, on so many levels! Mostly because of what happened to Irma, and lack of Raph going ape sh!t over Leo and kicking some serious ass! Like, no ass kicking from him at all, most of the episode was him running away from the Kraang. I'm seriously getting frustrated with this show. Only thing that might make up for it, maybe there is a real Irma that was April's friend, but she was kidnapped during the season and the robot Irma was replicated to her likeness, and the real Irma is still out there needing rescuing.

and i was expecting something with irma, after the chinatown episode mentioning her "power". never wouldve called what happened, but altogether wasnt that shocked when something happened

i would hate for this to turn into yet another "female character debate" so what ill say is this:

this show has ALWAYS focused on the 4 turtles, april and casey, throughout incarnations. thats how its set up. thats its outline. only 1 of those characters is female. so those are truly the only characters that this show needs

This is false! In the old toon, Casey was barely in it, while it was Irma that was often featured in the show! She even had an episode all to herself! People were digging Irma, why screw it up with a twist just for the sake of it? I sure hope that there is a real Irma out there. She was such a nifty little design, it would be kind of crappy just to ditch her.

Well, let's hope there is a real Irma out there, that was somehow chosen by Kraang sub-prime to impersonate to spy on April. The one that rang April in Mousers Attack, long before the earth invasion even started:

Yeah, stuff like this bothered me. Seriously, if her major threat to April was Casey, why not just snuff him during Rats and Men, and get him out of the picture? The whole thing isn't sitting right with me. I noticed most people aren't a fan of Irma not being real the whole time. It's cheap! I sure hope the writers aren't serious about this.

I'm hoping there's a real Irma out there, too!! I loved the episode and while I enjoyed the Irma/Kraang freak show that went on, I was not thrilled that it sounded like there wasn't a real Irma somewhere. I was really starting to like that girl, too.

The joy of these kind of twists is watching fan reactions try to spin it their way so as everything comes out looking rosier and their time and investment does'nt feel altogether wasted. It happened with those who liked Xorn in Grant Morrison's New X-Men when he was the best new character in the ensemble at the time and then Morrison revealed he was Magneto in disguise. There's a whole meta commentary on that with Morrison using Cassandra Nova to complain about the twist in-story, insisting that Xorn was cool and nice and likeable, while an irritated Magneto just kept insisting that Xorn was the perfect disguise and fooled everyone.

Naturally, that didnt stop Marvel from retconning that to suit their own ideas (there's two Xorns, one of which was evil and impersonating Magneto, but there's one that's good), so don't feel like you won't get your way in the end

So April knew Irma for a whole year now? So, does this mean she knew Irma before she knew the Turtles?

And, maybe Irma was real up until between Rats and Men and now, and perhaps she is held captive somewhere, right along with Casey's Dad and sister! I still can't believe we haven't even see a pic of them yet! They're probably going to be revealed as someone major later on, hence the secrecy.

So now the writers had decided to broke Irma's character, turning her into a Kraangdroid.
Excuse me while I spend time praying to the writers to bring the REAL Irma and standed being a human an ally of the turtles!
